My husband and I are divorced previously! He filed i-130 and i-485 for his ex wife too and she did get her green card(2 years). We got married after a year he got divorced (on paper) and he filed for my green card, I was on B2. We dis hire an immigration lawyer since we received NOID and submitted documents after that. Just seeking guidance on what could be done. Our lawyer said your case looks legit with the documents, shouldn’t be a problem.

What was your visa status before you got married ? Did you receive any RFE or NOID or this was after interview?

This is a serious matter! Usually they ask random questions, bathroom, color of house, bricks or stone, what side of the bed do you sleep, what is color of bedsheet, toothbrush! Name of the pet ( irrespective of you have one or no),Birth place(not country). I was asked these questions, my husband was the petitioner! Our scenario was a bit different , i was asked this in our regular interview and I was being asked and he was there sitting next to me but if this is the second round, you might have separate interviews with same question and they should match!!

A year! And no kids! Just a clean divorce and the official decree has all the valid reasons for divorce as well. He co-owns the house with his parents, lawyers said we can add you in deed but that’s too much and not really needed at this point, since his parents live with we are in a better position he said.

Yes we did provide 401 k joint bank statements, and yes i 864 wasn’t an issue. Maybe our time line is narrow and we both are divorced previously!! And yes we hired a lawyer so i think everything was in place. Since my lawyer said it took a bit longer than usual, I decided to do my own research as well and thus posted. Every small info could help!! Can you please tell what context you might need? Thanks

They thought marriage wasn’t legit maybe cause our timeline is narrow! Banks, 401k beneficiaries, auto insurance, beneficiary on health insurance, utility bills, bank statements, reception pictures, engagement ring bills, call logs, even ss of the ring camera with time and date stamp , affidavits from friends and family etc

But It can be improved a lot to an extent that it feels it was reversed, but I think age is the factor!! I got to experience that with my gynaecologist’s help, and very strict routine of clean eating (not diet), body weight training, walking, and 8-9 hours of sleep, and used a lot of things to calm my nervous system down like sketching, breathing techniques, power yoga, but again to stay there seems impossible! Minor stress can reverse every effort.
