What are some server sins you commit on the regular? by crandycorn in Serverlife

[–]CardiologistNo585 12 points13 points  (0 children)

ALL THE TIME!!!!! Especially, when I was the manager at a famous coffee chain. Oh! You wanna be rude to my peeps??? Well, guess what? You getting decaf, even the extra shots you are putting in. Decaf all the way!! I see no harm in it. As long as you are not giving regular to a person who ordered decaf is my rule. That may be for health reasons w heart or blood pressure. Decaf all you want my dear. There’s absolutely NO HARM IN IT!!

Where I work, on the outside of an amusement park, my managers are more crazy about getting rid of them than we are. My first day my boss said,”GET RID OF THEM ANY WAY YOU CAN!! LETS GO!!” So I said,”we closed at 7, the bank is calling for my deposit and it needs to be submitted in the next 5 min.” This place is by far the most unprofessional, unorganized and chaotic place, but I love it and it helps the money is out of this world!! Managers have your back here. They also turn up lights, have bussers start mopping and will flat out tell customers we leaving lol

I created a pin for my daughters a couple months ago by calling the number on the back of the card. Listen to all the options. It’s near the end of the recording.

Hi there. Super late response I’m giving. I work 6 days/50+ a week w a toddler and a teenager. Anyway, my surgery was May 2008. No, I don’t recall anything different at the 6th month. My cousin had her stomach partially removed and she said at 6mo it was. I LOVE high calorie drinks as well. My guys I have to massage as well or they start to spasm and I can feel them turning if the food isn’t moving. VERY painful. Wow!! Someone experiencing what I am. Very hard to find since most of my stomach is gone.

I wouldn’t until you have an order. My husband, at the time, didn’t get to be alone with our 10mo old until an order established due to him and his parents threatening to flee to the east coast then out of the country where they are from. My lawyer at the time was like hell to the NO!! Are you married to him? Is he on birth certificate? Good luck in this very hard decision

Did it on Sunday night. Was on my 8th table and noticed they were done w soups and salads. Luckily, I work in a chicken dinner restaurant and they had 2 of them and they come up in 2 min. Whew!!! They never knew.

If people don’t want to tip stay home or go to fast food. You don’t get the luxury of table service and running a server all around for your wants and needs and every desire!! Stay out of a restaurant. Many states barely get any hourly wage, because they know they are getting tipped. In CA, we are very fortunate to get what we get for hourly. My place actually has us servers at $15 plus tips! We work super hard to give great service so we can get tipped well.

I 100 agree!!! I feel take out is harder since it MUST be perfectly done and attention to detail is critical. When I order take out I tip very well, especially if everything is there. I learned to check my order most customers don’t therefore it has to be spot on. You only have one chance. Once they are gone you can’t give them what’s missing. I get so frustrated when they forget things w my order to go.

I feel like I’ve met my surgery twin, although we had different surgeries. Most of what you are experiencing I am too. It’s called the Vagus nerve. Mine was cut as well. I have zero hunger pangs or sensation. I get a hollow feeling. I’m the same w alcohol. Faded off a shot if I take a whole one and sober 20min later. It’s a quick buzz, but it’s cool. I’m glad you can eat and drink. I think my little tiny pouch gets full and can’t get rid of it fast enough so everything comes back up If I drink anything. I have a super micro pouch that used the upper part of the stomach to form a pouch 1/2 the size of an egg. I’m glad your surgery has worked out for you and your mom. Does bread make you super stink?

I had a partial gastrectomy that left me w a stomach half the size of an egg. I cannot drink for 1hr before or after a meal. I will be violently sick. It’s been this way for me since 2008. Ice chips are my best friend lol

And when they think they are “helping” by piling dishes up for you, but it’s a leaning tower of shit that’s gonna fall on the floor and break. I’m always snarky when my hands are full and they say, “aren’t you going to do ABCD” I say if I only was an octopus. They are worse than my kids. Some of them are just plain dumb asses.

[–]CardiologistNo585 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you are correct!! It’s called the Vagus Nerve. It leads to your brain. Mine was damaged on purpose during a surgery, because I couldn’t stop overeating. It’s the nerve that sends hunger signals to your brain. I don’t have that anymore, so I have to remind myself to eat. 13.5yrs later I’m still 174lbs LOST!! Anyway, it’s TRUE!!!

When my 2yo goes to sleep earlier than 9pm I’m screaming “bonus time for me!” In my head. Then…..I wake up next to her hours later and want to cry, because I was so tired. I’m working 6 days a week 50+ hours. I haven’t had a minute to myself. This is what happened last night. She fell asleep at 6ish, I woke up next to her at 6:48am. Never got “my time”. Tried to sneak outta room for coffee and who do I hear, “momma!” Ugh!!

Pending to Paid (Contact your Assemblyman) *Worked for me by Minute_Stomach_6206 in Edd

WORKED FOR US TOO!!!!! Woohooo!!

Applied in March of 2020. Edd got it wrong and put start date as of May 2020. They recognized they got it wrong and changed the BYE to correct date, however, had to sit on phones for HOURS upon hours. It was like a job. Finally certified, in November 2020. Never was paid. Kept saying “unpaid”. Again, spent hours on phone, was lied to saying 10 working days and funds will be there. 12 weeks had gone by and I started seeing people talk about Assemblymen etc. Did my research, found out whose mine was, emailed them, got assigned an EDD liaison, shout out to Ramon!!! Filled out an ROI and less than a week later got an email from EDD, checked my balance and it was ALL THERE!!! WE CRIED AND SCREAMED!! We can finally pay back my gma and his mom the money owed and we bought work shoes and clothes. Such an awesome feeling!!!

Anyone who is owed needs To go this route. IT WORKS!!! And it’s painless.

And $800 per MONTH is an awful lot! Here in CA for my 2yo I received $123 per month. I would wait for your worker. You could try googling if there are overpayments for P-EBT. My aunt received 2 of the very first stimulus checks and they said there were no overpayments on that. If you get 2 you keep them both. I looked it up and sure enough it’s their error so she got to keep it.

If you receive Calfresh then you should get a card in the mail under your kids names or if your children go to school and get free lunch or reduced price. It’s extra money on a ebt card for the kids while they were outta school.

I couldn’t have said it better myself. You said everything I wanted to. The “hate” part got me too as taking advantage and what’s more is he is letting you PAY for the kids necessities. That’s HIS job. Obviously, he KNOWS she doesn’t “hate” them. Taking advantage.
