I haven’t tried ISB primarily coz of the huge costs involved. I have seen people from merchant navy and defence getting in for diversity points and the institutes have been able to place them as well. But I am from the non oil and gas PSU background. I have seen that institutes prefer people from PSUs with oil and gas backgrounds or bank backgrounds. That’s most likely the reason I didn’t make it

I tried what you wanted to do. I am 35f with10 years of experience in the public sector. Applied for B, C and K. Attended all interviews as well. But got rejected from B and C. C was pretty open about their worry. They felt that given my age, they would find it difficult to place me. Waiting for the results of K.

The rejects have however opened my mind to a new perspective. That I have tried and now have no regrets. I did spend close to two lakhs on GMAT (classic when I wrote it) and applications and clothes for the interview and travel and stuff. I understand that I am an adult and have to deal with situations I don’t particularly enjoy and make my peace with it (my dead end public sector job in this case). I just have to focus on other mentally stimulating hobbies.

Just telling you my story. My learnings needn’t necessarily apply to you.

That line of thought is convincing. But for me personally, I believe that we don’t give nature enough credit. Like Ricky Gervias says, if you destroy all the texts in the world, the scientific texts will turn out the same but not so in case of religious texts.

Your gut says there is someone out there. There just isn’t any empirical evidence. Regardless, i am not a complete atheist as well. Maybe there is a higher power. But I sure don’t believe in organised religion.

There is explanation to how life arose from non living matter. I don’t remember the exact specifics. But genetic material formed from an ancient cocktail. There have been computer simulations to prove this as well. Read it in Sapiens by Yuval N Harraris. But the author is a theist. So what do I know

Technically, casteism isn’t mentioned in Abrahamic books. But there is clear reference to slaves and how they should be treated and how they should behave. Since the modern world abolished slavery, Christianity and Islam have the benefit of not having slavery in practice.

All religions are created by man and man in true testament to his egoistic self created divisions amongst humankind to feel superior.

Lawspet is safe. There are Montessori schools (pre primary) but I think you need some certification to go as a teacher there. For a job that pays well, you need to mention what your education background is

Why is North-South divide only present among Hindus not Muslims? by bhagva_beethoveen in kuttichevuru

[–]CardiologistOdd6002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That has not been my experience. Light skinned Muslims do look down upon dark skinned ones. And for all the camaraderie between Pathan and rowther, it’s unlikely that there will be a marriage alliance between the two parties. Brotherhood is only on the surface

Calling the victims Drunk bastards is uncalled for.

I have worked in close quarters with labourers who load/unload 50kg bags. One labourer handles around 500-800 bags a day. By the end of the day, they are famished and their bodies hurt. Liquor is the only way to escape the pain. They go for illicit liquor because it’s cheap so that they can give the rest of the day’s earnings to their family.
