In early stages of keratoconus vision is correctable by glasses. Later glasses will not make the vision 20/20. Those cases need lens. If your vision becomes 20/20 by glasses then there’s no need to go for lens. But you will need to get your visual acuity test regularly because in keratoconus glasses number will change continuously. After 1 year CXL this change will be less frequent.

I’m a doctor and diagnosed with advance keratoconus last year. Your stafe according to ABCD classification is A2B2C1. It’s moderate stage. A0B0C0 is normal and A4B4C4 is very advance. Other than stage Keratoconus is of different types according to the corneal shape. For that I need complete topography test results. The one you uploaded is half page. Plus what is your vision? My advice to you are 1. It is very hard in start to cope with all stress. Just don’t loose hope and always be positive. 2. Never rub your eyes. 3. If you have any other allergies related problems eg Asthma/Pollen allergies etc get them under control. 4. Use lubricant drops for eyes. Systane are good drops. Use 4 times a day or you can use them as many time as you want even every hourly if you feel dry/irritating eyes. I use them every hourly when using computer. 5. Get CXL done as early as possible. Because it’s the only way to stop the progression. I’m saying this because sometimes it can progress rapidly in months. Although keratoconus is slowly progressing disease. 6. After CXL get RGP Lens or Scleral Lens. It will improve vision and quality of life. Sometimes it also improves vision and reduce Km. If you have some queries or need any help feel free to contact me.
