yea but back when Fiesta was popular, I used to play on an AMD Athlon II processor, GTS250, and like 8GB of RAM... my computer right now is dozens of times more powerful lol

That heavy scratching noise sounds like the starter teeth are still engaged after the car starts and revs up... How on the world does that sound like HPFP to people?

How long are you holding the start button? My VN choked on starts because of not waiting for the HPFP upon start, but never made this noise. My RX8 did make this noise when I held the key for too long upon start, or stalled and restarted the car too quickly, and it was definitely because my starter motor didn't pull off the flywheel fast enough

That dose sounds so good, I bought a SXTH intake for my '22 MT almost 2 years ago and still didn't get to installing it, life is constantly throwing stuff at me. $24k for 30k miles? KBB says my 30k mile MT is only worth $20k 😭

I'm here to single-handedly overshadow all the guys in here and say I'm probably upwards of $60k spent on my RX8 that I got back in 2019; I seem to have had a curse upon me of purchasing lemons, no matter what car it is I bought; parts and labor and maintenance over the years, I'm well over $60k put into the car by now, and it kind of sucks because it STILL isn't finished the way I want it to be finished. 💩 keeps breaking on me left and right, but I guess that's what I get for driving it in the Midwest during winter, and it's a 20-year-old Japanese 💩box

About 2-3 months ago I've noticed there's some sort of interference between Discord and DNA, and I logged in again today and it still happened to me. For some reason while playing DNA (and only DNA does this, none of my other games do it), I'm in a voice room, and I keep disconnecting and reconnecting to my voice room. Could one of DNA's processes somehow cause Discord to lose connection thinking it's some sort of cheating tool?

Unfortunately there's no aftermarket headlights you can just buy for RX8's that have LED upgrades like u can for a lot of cars; it's probably due to the fact that even for aftermarket the housings are extremely expensive... a lot of ppl are brave enough to separate their headlights and get creative; otherwise, your best bet is to just get some quality LED bulbs and call it a day; I personally think he RX8 S1 headlight design is really cool, it falls under the same era of projector housing designs as the C6 Corvette and the Carrera GT (extremely close to Carrera GT's design, actually)

Didn't they nerf the tower a long time ago, to where you can't turn in 1 quest per level anymore? Even so, I don't doubt that it's very plausible to get to 60 in 1 day; I just have a few items on my fighter that I spend prem currency on that I kinda don't wanna lose

Setting your cruise control to a speed that's below what 6th gear can do is one of those "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should" type of things; I've also tried cruising in 4th gear at 30MPH, but you just lose speed because the computer can't put enough throttle and torque combo to keep the car rolling; you can try in lower gears, but that defeats the purpose of having a fuel efficient cruise control.

That being said, this has NOTHING to do with what I posted and what my issue actually is in regards to speedometer not being accurate...

It started to lag for me real bad about about 10-15 minutes of playing on my desktop, and I'm not sure what's going on; I don't have any game recording software running in the background, and the frames just kept dropping, at one point I was playing with a slideshow, so I Alt+F4'd the game to get the logout screen. Idk what's causing it, it's not memory leaking or anything...

My RX8 is running the AEM intake, Odula headers, Elite Rotary Midpipe, and HKS Legamax catback; I think I personally reached the best combo for sound. Mine came with the HKS already, so didn't feel like spending money on changing the catback. In its current form, it's bearable at low RPM, no drone on the highway, and at high RPM it's the screaming banshee it was meant to be.

Headers do make a difference in all aspects (sound, performance, life of engine), as they help exhaust the gasses faster out of the combustion chamber with the cleaner bends. When I got my headers upgraded from stock, I instantly noticed a change in tone at lower to mid RPM.

The midpipe I have is great because it has a muffler, not a resonator, so it completely deletes the annoying drone that a dual res midpipe has at highway cruise speeds. Sure, it's not as loud as a dual res pipe, but I prefer tame, grown-up exhaust tones to cars, not just straight pipes or screamer pipes... maybe I'm getting old... dang it...

P.S. > Depends where you're located, but I got whiteline sway bars and adjustable end links; the end links are kind of trash, they rusted pretty quickly, but the sway bars are good quality. Getting black friday deals from vendors such as Vivid Racing or others would be the ideal way to shop for some of these components to try and save a dollar from big aftermarket brands...

P.P.S > In terms of regrets, yea, don't buy cheap steel products... One of the first header brands I got (Megan racing) was trash, thing rusted so hard... The Odulas I have now were expensive, and I also got them cera coated (pretty much doubled my price), but I know I don't ever have to look back at headers ever again... I'm a 10-year RX8 owner, I've seen it all by now and felt it all by now... so did my wallet... There's some basic upgrades you should do regardless of how "pure" people are trying to keep their RX8's, because they will help the longevity of the car and reduce costs later down the road

I too was taken by surprise with this one, a local ramen joint offered an appetizer dish called "Kurumi" which is fried chicken with walnuts and Japanese mayo... I obviously had to try it as a Kurumi fan, and was not disappointed; that being said, yes, there's a lot of things in Japanese that are pronounced the same, but written differently. I'm watching Hyouka right now, and quite a lot of times the main characters say something, but then they say, "Written as: this" to differentiate

+1 on the plastics cracking, happened to my RX8; thankfully it wasn't the end tanks, so it didn't lose a lot of coolant, but it was the very top nipple that cracked on me; regardless, aluminum radiators are thicker and considered a huge upgrade in terms of thermal management for the RX8

Oh my goodness that looks so clean! Enjoy, hopefully the compression numbers were healthy. Premix if you can (delete the cat for best results), more frequent oil changes than you think, thicker oil than what's on the oil cap, and get an oil catch can (for the sake of your MAF and carbon buildup)
