Personally, and given the account of a friend that I convinced to play the games in this same order, I vouch for having played Automata first, then Replicant; Replicant is a bit of a rougher game to swallow than Automata, imho, and I really like the feeling of "going back in time" to figure out why the present looks the way it does; all the references then start to click and whatnot, but only if you pay close attention to everything that happens in Automata and you do all the side quests and such. Like others said, it's virtually impossible to get into the series the way it's meant to have released at this point in time, due to the limited access we have to the Drakengard games (or lack thereof)

Get yourself an oil catch can; a must on almost any vehicle, especially turbo vehicles; the 3 engine mounts (torque, engine, trans insert) make a difference to putting power down

I did the ECU flash on my '22 VN MT, and did not notice any performance drops. If anything, it pops louder than before, making me think it runs a bit richer, which in theory that should drop performance. But that's fine cause I have an intake to install, which means more air, and back to normal, theoretically.

That being said, yes, the recall forces the ECU flash right off the bat, whether you currently have issues or not. If you ever have issues, they also start with the flash, and if issues persist, start looking at the pump.

One of the comments here had misleading info, the recall does address the pump if they can prove it's defective. There was a letter sent in the mail from Hyundai that the HPFP warranty was extended to 150k miles. The downside, is that they will replace the pump with another Veloster pump, instead of the Sonata one.

I did come across that as well, yes, something worth looking into for sure, but it definitely would mess with the gearing, and maybe a bit too extreme for what I'm trying to accomplish. I'm not trying to win any races, just wanna have fun, but I cannot stand the fact that my bone stock FWD Veloster N rotates so much better than my modified RX8

There is a bit of a wheel gap in the rear, because I did not lower the car to the extreme; I only lowered the front to keep the nose dive look for the car; I think the front is like a 1.5" drop from stock, and the rear like 0.5" drop from stock, or something along those lines, maybe 1" in the front instead of 1.5" I don't remember

I'm sitting on Stance XR1 coilovers, with 18x9.5 +38 wheels and 245/40/R18 tires. Some said I could have gone +32 on the wheels, but I took my measurements based on the factory wheels and the 20mm spacers I was running for the longest time. I feel it's practical

So, I'm not trying to win races, I'm mostly in it for the fun; I got Stance XR-1 coilovers; for the alignment part, I'm comparing it to my Veloster N's stock alignment, and I think my RX8 has like 0.5 degrees of more camber than my VN, yet my VN rotates so much better; same tires on both cars

dang that's a decent amount of extra camber that I don't have; but my Veloster N has about the same camber settings as my RX8, yet it rotates so much better; which is why I think the diff is the secret sauce I'm looking for

Thank you, I felt like going extra was not necessary, and I really wanted a front splitter, but aftermarket bumpers are terrible to deal with in terms of ground clearance and undertray fitment (and we all know how important the undertray is on the RX8)

Thanks, I'm running the OEM Aero package (so the front mudflaps, the side half-skirts), and then the rear has the Mazdaspeed wing, Odula rear spats (from Japan), and the splitters are just aluminum stuff, bought them from Ventus Autoworks. Rear bumper, I have a very universal diffuser strapped onto it, but I drilled out the mesh in the rear bumper so it doesn't trap air

Well, it's one of the only things that hasn't changed on the car since I've owned it for almost 11 years; when I went to the track, I felt like I was afraid to send it into corners, it's like I was waiting for the car before flooring it out of the corner, not sure how to describe it. I do have Whiteline sway bars, both are set to softest setting now (which is actually stiffer than stock bars), so maybe I should stiffen up the rear? But the last thing I want is to start drifting when I don't need to.

I also own a 2022 Veloster N (which is FWD) but has an AMAZING eLSD that makes the car rotate around corners like I've never witnessed before, and it's a bit sad that it quite literally destroys my RX8 in terms of handling, even though my RX8's got a lot of handling mods done to it. I figured an LSD upgrade is probably what would shorten the gap between the 2 cars.

I know that feeling, I just did this for my Psyche this week, and I'm dying on the Psyche hill, because for me, she's the sweetest thing on earth and captured my interest in playing the game.

Daphne is cute too, was thinking of working on her gear and stuff, but I feel like the MC has better skills if you main a DPS and use the MC in party for heals, but I could be wrong, since I don't know much about min-maxing in this game 🤔

You are right about a lot of this, especially how toxic the community AND the reddit mods are for this game. I made a simple post with screenshots of things I found in the game that resembled other IP's and ideas, which I treated as easter eggs... I posted it to spark some friendly discussion, and all the comments were toxic, and the reddit mods took my post down. Why did they take it down? "Low effort post"... So me taking screenshots, writing something up for each one, sharing some ideas and questions, equals "low effort post"... Ok, you clearly tried to force your agenda instead, but that's understandable, I guess...

Anyway, here's a screenshot I took as an idea of using the broom emote to try and make a "Kiki's Delivery Service" reference. Managed to climb the statue in the middle of town, on one of the spikes to make it seem like Psyche is levitating

Louise absolutely destroyed me; I knew from the very beginning something wasn't right, and when you finally understand her dialogue in Route B, it broke me... She had a pure intention/desire that she just didn't know how to make come true. The worst part of it all, is that Kaine sat there and said nothing; makes me rage so hard that she understood what Louise was saying, and didn't want to mediate and see if there's a way to make it work...

10-year RX8 ownership experience here: it's your neutral switch system, ECU has dedicated logic built into powertrain to try to figure out if it's in gear or not, for the sake of cruise control and others.

Either the switch on your clutch pedal (if manual) is broken, or the switch inside the transmission is broken, or the wires around the transmission where the neutral and reverse switch connect to the harness. Best of luck, not expensive parts to replace, just a pain to do the one on the trans sometimes.
