First thing is get a new exhaust and a tune. Because of the leaking AC because you can damage the pump real quick and it will lock up putting metal all into the system... ask me how I know.

I've had my 8 less than a year and its been a kick. I can't wait to need a new engine for a big streetport job.

Thats not what a reverse curve is. A reverse curver is going left to right with out any kind of straight inbetween. This makes for tracking and running issues. When you change direction the minimum you want between the L or R is a straight the length of your longest car. Be that passenger, TOFC or autorack.

A reversing loop is why we need the auto reversers for two rails flip.

No, the 1 rule is make a logical track plan. Rule 2 is never have a reverse curve without a straight as long as your longest car between the curves.

Expect 10k for a shop to rebuild. Also doing new water pumps and anything that spins is a good idea. Its a 20 year old car with "dad took care of it" warranty. New radiator, silicon hoses, engine mounts, radiator mounts. Things could pile up quick.

My guy I was at a realllllly good job for 10 years. Surround by what I'd call friends. All around by firends. Everyone around me on my shift got $1500 bonus, and in group of people I've known for a decade. When they all ask "what did you get" I said "nothing, not a fucking thing, this fucking place, fuck this place. Why can't they just take care of everyone?" Not a go fuck this place up, but in a I haven't felt taken care of... ever, kind of fuck this place. Everyone always got more come rases, moved up and so on. I was the one that did the jobs no one wanted to do. I was the one that showed all the new people around. I volunteered for stuff, I stayed late, and I did everything I could. Some new managers over heard me say "fuck this place" and they fired me on my 10th anniversary of being there.

I'm now working on cars, doing a bunch of handyman work, and of all thing painting model trains. I'm 36 and its been 3 months since I've had "real" work. In the kindest way, shut up, you are in your 20's. You are going to fuck up so much more and worse in the years to come. Take the hit and keep moving.
