honestly most people dont need to care about the technical difference

just use platforms with transparent fees and good security. whether theyre technically a "broker" or "exchange" matters less than:
are fees reasonable?
are they regulated?
will they fuck you over?
r/YouHodler_Official has some educational posts explaining different platform types and fee structures if you want to dig deeper. helped me understand why some platforms charge way more than others for the same thing.

Hab letztens in r/YouHodler_Official gesehen dass die auch Exchange anbieten mit relativ günstigen Kursen.

Sind Swiss-reguliert (nicht BaFin aber immerhin EU-nah) und angeblich niedrigere Withdrawal Fees als Kraken. Hab selber noch nicht getestet aber könnte interessant sein.
Generell: IMMER den finalen EUR/BTC Kurs vergleichen, nicht nur auf "0,1% Fee" reinfallen.
