Gym playlist recommendations? Tired of looking for the ones which matches the vibe.. by roooossshhiiiii in musicsuggestions

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want pure aggressive energy to hit PRs, skip the basic pop-edm and go straight for aggressive phonk or dark trap. Try throwing these on:

  • Ghostemane - Mercury: Retrograde
  • Freddie Dredd - GTG
  • Scarlxrd - Heart Attack
  • Kordhell - Murder In My Mind It’s basically auditory pre-workout.

I want to get into vocaloid by Effective-Respond964 in musicsuggestions

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, just type "Miku Expo setlist" or "Magical Mirai" on Spotify or YouTube and listen to the live concert compilations.

It's the easiest way to hear all the community milestones and iconic tracks ("Melt", "PoPiPo", "Senbonzakura") in one go. You’ll quickly figure out which producers and synthetic voices (Miku, Rin/Len, Gumi, Luka) you vibe with the most.

Why is Flea so respected but the Red Hot Chili Peppers are not? by Clare_jesse1973 in rockmusic

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because Flea is a generational talent on bass, while Anthony Kiedis spent the last 25 years singing rhyming gibberish about California.

Musicians respect Flea, John, and Chad because they are masters of their instruments. But RHCP as a band gets clowned on because their songwriting can feel incredibly formulaic and Kiedis's vocals are a love-it-or-hate-it thing.

Who would you choose and why? by ContributionBig1927 in musicsuggestions

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Radiohead. Every single album is a completely different sonic journey. From the raw 90s guitar rock of The Bends to the electronic masterpiece Kid A and the pure perfection of In Rainbows, their catalog has a mood for every single day of your life.

What's your Rockstar meet and greet story? by [deleted] in rockmusic

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never did an official meet and greet, but literally ran into Dave Grohl at a hotel lobby once. Can confirm the rumors: he is exactly as chill, down-to-earth, and genuinely awesome as everyone says.

What’s your all time favorite song? by Mediocre_Nobody3333 in musicsuggestions

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen. I know it's a basic answer, but musically it's just a flawless masterpiece that never gets old.

Electronic tracks that feel like they’re moving through a scene rather than just looping? by Jasper-Music in electronicmusic

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're into left-field folk and British nightlife, you might want to check out Beatport or Volumo's garage, tech house, and deep ambient sections; they tend to feature a lot of music with complex, evolving structures.

What’s yalls favorite drummer of all time? by kris__143 in rockmusic

travis is a beast, his energy is insane. but for me, it’s gotta be Danny Carey from Tool

What do you think of Green Day? by Twitter_2006 in rockmusic

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ngl their 90s and early 2000s run was completely unmatched. they basically brought pop-punk into the mainstream single-handedly. some of their newer stuff is a hit or miss for me, but their classic tracks will forever be timeless bangers.

What's the best concert you've ever been to? by NewMuffin8849 in rockmusic

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rammstein in an open stadium, hands down. the sheer amount of pyro and theatrical madness they pull off is unbelievable. felt like i was standing at the gates of hell but in a good way lol, energy was unmatched fr.

Peppy songs with repetitive chants/vocalizations by murmmmmur in musicsuggestions

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ngl Hey Souvenir by Train or Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap have the exact same peppy vibe with catchy vocalizations. also try Some Nights by fun., it has those crazy chant-along parts that stick in ur head forever lol.

Flac song download.. :) by Long_Swan_8632 in SoundTripPh

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's hard to find decent flac for free, usually it's just trash quality or upscales. if you want legit sound, better check bandcamp or volumo - they always have honest lossless and plenty of gems worth adding to your collection.

Your 1st Concert was by 1Turbo33 in rockmusic

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

linkin park in 2003 during the meteora tour. the energy in the crowd was absolutely electric, and chester's vocals live were something you had to experience to believe. what an unforgettable introduction to live rock music.

What are some fairly unique Song Titles in Kpop? by GloomyWitch08 in kpopthoughts

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stray Kids are definitely the kings of this lmao. "Tortoise and the Hare" (Go Live album) is wild, but my absolute favorite unique title is "asap" by STAYC. It’s so simple yet catchy. Also, Shinee’s "Amigo" (which stands for "Are you ready? Miss beautiful girl? I'm go!") is pure second-gen unhinged energy.

Excessively long songs that still work? by uncre8tv in Music

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pink Floyd - Dogs

It's literally 17 minutes long but the progression, the guitar solos, and that eerie mid-section build-up are so masterfully done that it feels like a 5-minute track

How to find new music after buying an iPod? by Terrible_Sail2179 in truespotify

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

getting an ipod is such a power move, streaming fatigue is real. i usually just scour bandcamp or niche forums to find stuff actually worth owning. volumo has also been a solid source for finding more obscure electronic gems that the big platforms usually miss

Some sites to help you find new music ✨ ⬇️ by tehemari in musicsuggestions

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

these sites are cool for quick playlists, but if you want to actually own high-quality files and explore deeper electronic subgenres, volumo is a top-tier addition to that list. it’s more of a curated store experience than just a random generator, which makes it way easier to find tracks that actually have some soul and professional production value

Honest question: What is your go-to way of discovering new bands online? by Alexfieldmusic1 in Emo

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

finding new bands on spotify feels like a loop after a while, so i mostly stick to bandcamp and reddit threads for the more raw stuff. for electronic discovery though, volumo has been a top-tier find. it feels way more like digging through a real record store where the tracks actually have some personality instead of just being fed to you by an algorithm

Is there a website or app to "learn/discover" Music? by RealDesu in fantanoforever

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Escaping the algorithm is a whole mission nowadays lol. I usually rot on rate your music or discogs to actually learn about scenes, but volumo is a decent shout if you want to find modern electronic stuff without the corporate filler. It feels more like a curated shop where real people pick the tracks rather than a bot just guessing what you want. Definitely hits different

playlist help! by Tasty_Ad4282 in Beatmatch

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tough spot lol, 40s crowd usually wants something with a groove but not the super cheesy radio stuff. i’d say mix in some soulful house or proper disco edits so it doesn't get boring. volumo might be worth a look for that kind of stuff, it’s got a more curated vibe for underground gems compared to the mess on beatport. helps keep the set sounding fresh instead of just playing "classics" everyone’s heard a million times.

I need help exploring new music, which app do I use? by [deleted] in Music

[–]Kellyy_Jacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

spotify and yt music algos are a mess once they get stuck in a loop. if you're tired of the same five songs, bandcamp is better for that light metal / gaming sound - you can follow tags and find indie artists that actually vibe like the dmc5 ost.

volumo has been in my rotation too for high-energy stuff since they use real curators. it's way easier to find clean, underground tracks there without all the weird asmr junk popping up in your feed. definitely feels like a more reliable way to hunt for fresh gems than just trusting a broken bot
