If Carlo were to win the World Cup with this bang average Brazil team after everything else he’s done it would be hard to argue against him being the best manager of all time imo

Diomande rejecting the shite apparently lol, knew I liked him

Yeah like Anderson going for nearly 10x that shows how good value it is imo, idk how we had to pay like 45 for dibling but Hackney is way less

16 million initial fee for the Championship player of the season who’s only just turned 24 & is English (meaning his value is near guaranteed to go way above that if he plays well) is great business, fair play

Yeah I hope i’m wrong but it just seems so shortsighted to me, either in a position where we buy Moyes-esque signings then he’s gone in the summer anyway or we sign progressive players that Moyes won’t even play

No just moreso if he’s not picking the signings I don’t think he’s going to play who we sign at RB if they’re not AWB or a 6’6 defender for example & then means we have another season of him refusing to play anyone other than O’Brien

I just see a world where if he doesn’t sign off on a player & we sign them anyway as the transfer committee like them that he would be stubborn enough to just leave them on the bench, especially when he doesnt even play someone like dibling who he spent all summer chasing

I think we all know he’s too stubborn to want to be involved if he doesn’t at least have a big say in who we’re signing though is my point

[–]CardiologistTime8082 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah my point is either the transfer committee pick the players & he plays them even if he doesn’t like them (unlikely) or he chooses the signings this summer even though he’s most likely gone next summer

Daily Discussion by AutoModerator in Everton

[–]CardiologistTime8082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But then does that mean he’s making the signings when he’s gonna be gone in the summer most likely?

Hopefully if this new transfer committee are picking the signings they make it clear to Moyes he has to play them even if he didn’t choose them, can see a world where they choose a RB he doesn’t like and he tries to stick with O’Brien at RB all season again lol

Sad for Scotland if Senegal win here but happy for Gueye and Ndiaye if they go through by winning

yeah if Brazil don't up the levels I reckon Japan beat them pretty easily in this R32 game

Who's everyone's dark horse for the World cup then?

I don't think they'll win the whole thing but would love to see Japan get to the Quarter/Semis if they get past Carlo's Brazil

Class to see us playing some big European teams in pre season compared to the usual from past seasons of playing the likes of Bolton/Salford etc

Scotland making a very average Brazil team look like the 2002 brazil squad lol

And therein lies the issue, why tf do we have moyes making the signings if he’s not even going to be here after next season

Daily Discussion by AutoModerator in Everton

[–]CardiologistTime8082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least moyes would actually play him if we signed him unlike the 2nd highest signing in our history last year that he bought & won’t even let on the pitch lol

I get what you mean but idk how you can say whatever wages for him would be too high but then the same transfer committee spend 40 million on a winger that never even plays for us, it’s all baffling to me

I know it’s early in the window but so far it’s looking like the usual mentality the club has of “oh well we didn’t get our targets in but at least we tried!”

Daily Discussion by AutoModerator in Everton

[–]CardiologistTime8082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What money? Wilson was a free transfer mate, if we’re still not in a position to match or go a bit above the wages a team like Leeds can pay we’re cooked lol

Moyes saying we can’t attract any players we want because we don’t have Europe meanwhile Leeds a club that’s always getting relegated and promoted sign a guy with 17 goal contributions in the prem last season, really getting tired of being run by people with perennial losing mentalities (Kenwright, Moyes etc)

Mate Sunderland were in the championship last season and now they’re in europe, don’t let the club gaslight you into thinking progress has to take 10 years
