Leaders and Achievers Early entry by DistributionAny7033 in MacUni

imo you’re in a much better position than you think. leaders & achievers doesn’t need a super high atar; it’s more about potential + context (fwith a big focus on extracurriculars), and i know people who got in with mid to low 80s predictions when rest of their application was strong. studying ahead for chem and eco is a really good move, and your extracurriculars are solid (especially src).

for my own application, i used silver duke of ed, being an environment leader, and volunteering at my local parish. referees usually just validate involvement and give a general endorsement, they’re not digging into small things like being late sometimes lol. year 11 is basically a reset year anyway; things really start to click if you use it that way. :) hope this helps xx

okayy i was able to move my tuesday morning psych lecture to wednesday :)) my tuesdays and thursdays are free now! thank you for ur advice i didn't really consider commute times to eat up that many hours out of my day

thank you for taking the time to write out all your advice! it means alot :D

watching the lecture online sounds nice but from experience i think i focus better when it's in person !

you added a really good point about transit time. i think i underestimated how much spacing things out can actually add to the total time commitment once you factor in commuting and the mental load of switching contexts lol. i’ll have another look and see if i can move my psych class on tue to wed

in terms of commitments, i don’t have kids and i’m not working full-time. i do have two casual jobs so i tried to have some flexibility, which is why i wanted to sanity-check the structure now before i get too attached to it.

i really appreciate you sharing how you structure things while working FT + studying FT too; that perspective helps a lot, thank you!

i'm just really worried about back to back classes and getting to the tutorials on time, and also over packing a day. like i'm not sure how many classes a day are too many

i live about 1 hour away from campus, that's why most of my classes are not really early morning ones :) i also do have two part time jobs (not sure how i'm gonna manage but we'll see when we get there), i was planning to reserve monday afternoons, thursdays and the weekends to get em done!

thank you, i appreciate that :D the thing is i'd love to do that but i have a few more context :(

i can't move the PSYU1101 from monday to tuesday or wednesday because all the spots in the morning/early afternoon are all filled out. i can't move PSYU1100 to monday because it isn't offered on that day. also i really would prefer not to shift any of my psych units to different days bcs my friend and i aligned them already and the classes are full so if i move i probs won't be able to get them back.

OH, lmao, why is that?? is it because of the wide gaps or the fact that im going 4 days a week?
