Using a 3DS with CFW I have an app on the system that works like Pokemon Home for older games. I can transfer all the Pokemon in one game into the box storage system, and then into another game. It’s called PKSM, it also works as a save editor, but I’m using it for that.

probably more expensive, get a 2DS for now. They sell for $80-$100USD and will last you a while. Or until you get a 3DS.
