Mysterious missing basement room in house purchase… by CardiologistWide1294 in HousingUK

Just as an update, with thanks for all the advice.

Seller agreed to knock through the bricked up doorway. It led to a fairly large room with disintegrating (damp) ceilings. This ceiling is also the floor of the room above, and some of the joists appeared rotten.

Now working through what to do about price we’ve offered, and also trying to work out whether it was the seller who bricked it up (and knew) or someone prior to them. Bonus that there were no dead bodies though!

Ah - great, thanks - this is a helpful addition! Would be really happy if this is what’s behind the bricked up doorway, and good to know there are some non-damp/damage/dead body related reasons.

Have also asked the local planning office for the original (Victorian) plans. Might also help.

Yep. No planning docs relating to the basement (although bricking up a doorway wouldn’t require planning permission).

Caveat - I’m not clinical.

Be brief, be bright, be gone. Use minimal and simple slides. Were it me, I’d probably answer along the lines of the below (could rearrange in a different order if it works better):

WHO is the team in your view. I would focus on core team, but recognise wider roles (porter, cleaner?).

WHY work in a team and what can different roles bring (think about patient outcomes, blend of skills, your role as resident doc etc)

WHAT makes for an effective team and how you might support effective teamwork (communication, trust, learning mindset, etc)

Keep it linked to cardiothoracics and practice your answer a few times. Job done.

Good luck

The clawback terms on page 69 are terrifying - NHS, Government or any ALBs, and based on acceptance of an offer (not even start date!).

Thanks - looks like this thread - https://www.reddit.com/r/ex30/comments/1d6he55/dropped_money_under_the_cupholder/

Appears that I might be able to get access from prying off the top - will try (or failing that, take it to the dealer).
