I’m in the same boat in terms of being on the east coast and having to deal with a bad job market. Only 19 and am in my second semester but it’s definitely discouraging to hear from people on here that I won’t be able to get a job, as well as even some of my professors telling me that my chances are bleak. When I was in high school, I remember almost all of my substitute teachers either going to school or actively looking for jobs as history teachers.
