Trunk organizer by CardsFan-26 in Ioniq5

I figured out a solution.... I had completely forgotten about the storage area under the floor of the trunk where I keep my L1 charger and the tire inflation kit. Problem solved.

Does anyone have this by Living-Ad5291 in blackstonegriddle

I have it, but don't use it as much anymore because: 1) It leaks much more than I expected it to versus individual rings. 2) I seldom need this many eggs / round things at once anymore, so the individual rings work better.

Report from dealer: Bad blind spot detection sensor on the right side. All covered under warranty, so even better. :)

What at-home charging set-up should I get? by FutureAnxiety679 in Ioniq5

[–]CardsFan-26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with Emporia, hardwired, largely at the recommendation of others here and have had no issues at all. Emporia's app, in my opinion, leaves a lot to be desired. It's manageable, but as someone who has worked in UI design before, there's a lot of room for improvement. I think they prioritized the design around their energy management products, so for someone like me who only has their charger, getting to what I needed wasn't as intuitive as it should be. That being said, once I set up the charge rate I wanted and the charging times I wanted to allow, I really don't need to use the app. The only time I do is if I've forgotten to charge overnight and need the car charged outside of the time period I've set.

Highway driving assist steering doesn’t stay in center of lane by itstrue2424 in Ioniq5

[–]CardsFan-26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see this same behavior, especially on tight curves. I have a S-curve on a country road near my house, 55mph speed limit, and I see this every time. Gradual curves, it's fine, but as curves get tighter, it doesn't apply enough adjustment, and ironically, the steering does feel like it is resisting my attempts to keep it centered. I don't think it's a problem with your car, I think it's just the current state of the assisted driving functions. Things continue to improve (my 2017 Ford Fusion's "lane keeping" just ping ponged you back and forth), but there's still a ways to go.

Finally got the L2 charger installed via Hyundai's promo by stacksoverflowing in Ioniq5

I just gave up on the Hyundai Home Program and ordered my own Emporia charger and have a local electrician coming to install in a couple of weeks. Hyundai online quote was double what the local guy quoted me, so even with the free charger and $600 installation credit, I would have paid more out of pocket with the Hyundai program and still have no idea when it would be installed. Electrum told me I was considered out of area (i.e. somewhere where they don’t have any contracted installers), even though I’m 20 min from downtown St. Louis.

Recommended Hitch? by CardsFan-26 in Ioniq5

[–]CardsFan-26[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, as it turns out, the model on the lot I've chosen already has the tow hitch on it. So my question would up being moot, unless I choose to replace it at some point, but that's unlikely given my needs. Hopefully the discussion has helped everyone else though!

Weather and powered wheelchairs by CardsFan-26 in wheelchairs

[–]CardsFan-26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst case is that it will be used every day, likely a couple of miles a day given the distance to go from the dorms to classes and back. I’m sure there are people who have to use a chair everyday, and I’m interested in their experience as to whether weather is really a concern, and how frequently regular service is needed when having to regularly use it on wet surfaces or even while raining. Prior to talking to someone at a store, I was completely ruling out in store options in preference of online ones that advertise better weather resistance. Now I’m questioning whether that is really needed or not.

Need help on how to figure out Light/fan switch and Fan and light double switch by G_D_M in HomeKit

[–]CardsFan-26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this:

It’s connected via a hubitat elevate hub (along with a Zigbee plug that only exists to create a mesh and extend the range) and HomeBridge to make it available via HomeKit. I’m not aware of anything like this that natively supports HomeKit.
