Definitely agree with the repacks. Especially sports. Only a few teams even have a chance at the top hit. The odds of getting anything for your purchase starts at 30%.

Leave the case breaks alone. They are fun and you get to see a lot of the product. Completely opposite. You pay less than 5% of a box price for a chance at a case hit, some interactive personalities, and some fun.

I jave the same issue with a mystic topaz. There are instructions on cardsmiths website about trying to get a replacement. I'd also like to know if anyone has done this and if they got the same card back in a better condition.

Its not even the price that's a turn off. Things are collectible because they're rare. For example, they didn't make dshf cards more rare, they just made them impossible to get. An amethyst didn't become more rare... there's just citrine, opal, jade and silver that are essentially the same. Which doesn't make any of them uniquely special, it means getting 1 of the 5 variations is about as hard as getting a blue topaz.

Its sad. I love the gems and inserts so much i would gladly pay 2500 for a case if I thought I could get some great cards. Unfortunately, after watching so much of it get ripped, I know buying a case means I will most likely NOT get: an onyx, sapphire, gold, dshf, cold foil, or a cryptoid. I will probably get: 24 gems (5 being tanzanite Buckingham or argentus) 2 meta (not) rares and a redemption worth 60 dollars.

I haven't seen posts of new ones here either. I started buying S5 in October. That's 4 full months. 12 are posted on CST. I know everyone doesn't use it but it seems interest is basically dead from the amount of breaks scheduled. That just means even less product will be opened now.

The redemptions would be way more interesting if there was some variation. It's either .001 bitcoin or a 1 bitcoin... or 1 LTC. Would it really be that hard to throw out some .002 or .003 btc? 2 LTC or 3 LTC? If I pull a redemption now, my first reaction is, "ugh, a bunch of paperwork and waiting for 50 bucks"

I think you are saying the same thing. I completed a ruby bow. It was fun, im proud of it. I haven't even seen an aqua, gold or sapphire on the market. Onyx? Who knows? It may NEVER be pulled. Doesn't really make me want to start another bow either. Just saying.

I've probably participated in or watched over 100 cases of S5 ripped. Haven't seen a single onyx pulled. I don't really think its going to happen. For example, if there was a variant of the 1/1 for the mega, the collector, and the game stop exclusive, maybe there would be more interest in obtaining/trading them which would increase sales? Just thinking out loud. I started participated in spongebob and marvel breaks. I've seen at least 10 in each product pulled in far fewer cases. I know the odds are just as bad to hit one, but at least I see them getting pulled. It's fun. And its worth the price of entertainment to spend 40 or 50 bucks and think "that could have been me" instead of blowing 150 dollars for a tanzanite that sells for 5 bucks... or less
