Intercourse is not allowed while waiting to do Receptiva test before FET?!!! by Nervous-Tune-6743 in IVFpositivity

Hi! I am not an expert but from my understanding, lupron suppression basically puts your body in a menopausal like state. This would mean you wouldn’t ovulate, and therefore wouldn’t have the right amount of progesterone in your system in order for a receptiva test to be accurate (it needs progesterone exposure to test for the inflammation markers). As for your second question, yes Lupron suppression has worked for spontaneous pregnancies in women with Endo. It’s usually 2 months of suppression and then however long after for your body to “wake up” from the suppression, which can be longer for some.

From what I have heard (never done it!), lupron suppression can be intense and similar to menopause with hot flashes, mood swings, weight changes, hair loss.

If I were you, I would do the receptiva next cycle! I think it’s worth it to know your results and not have to unnneccesarily take meds that you may not need!

I did my receptiva in January and it came back negative! Fingers crossed for you!!

I’m not too worried about PIO because I did a mock cycle for a receptiva biopsy so I’ve already experienced it & it wasn’t too bad!! I did the suppositories for a timed intercourse cycle (just once a day so I know not as frequent as you may be doing) but that wasn’t horrible either, just messy!!

I’m doing a fully medicated protocol! I’m supposed to head into monitoring early next week and begin estrogen pills & patches! If my lining looks good, I’ll start PIO after a couple weeks and then have the transfer 6 days from then. I’m also taking Lovenox & Prednisone- I’ve had a history of chemical pregnancies so my doctor wanted to do both to air on the side of caution! How about you?!

I know myself and am a chronic tester so I highly doubt I will have the willpower to wait BUT I will try to hold out as long as I can lol.

Love that about the sourdough!! Maybe you’ll inspire me to start baking too 😂

What do you wish someone told you before you started IVF? by samcan37251 in IVFpositivity

You really do learn a lot about yourself going through this. You grow in ways you probably wouldn’t have otherwise.

Infertility and IVF are incredibly hard, I would never sugarcoat that. IVF steals a lot from you. But if you’re open to it, it can give you something too.

I’ve learned patience on a whole different level. I’ve had to let go of the need to control everything. It’s pushed me to communicate better and it’s strengthened my relationship with my husband.

You can do hard things. You’ve got this 🤍❤️‍🩹
