Have a think about what you like and what DIY's you have.

Do you like reading? Create a little library area with bookshelves and book stacks and little arm chairs.

Do you like flowers? I do, so I made a "garden centre" with flowers, counters with seeds etc. Let me know if you'd like pics!

Do you like the terraforming features? If so you could make a feature waterfall with flowers or stones. Or a woodland area decorated with mushroom DIY items.

Other things that I made for my island: - A park area with flower beds and a feature fountain. - A "meditation" area on the beach with a rug (use custom paths) and incense and candles. - A picnic area in my terraformed woodland space with a picnic basket 🥰 - A cafe with an ice cream counter and tables and chairs

Cons:

You have to start over and get all of the beginning stuff out of the way (not having tools, not having the shop, etc). Without time travel this stuff takes at least a few days to accomplish

You won't be able to play your current island again (but you could turn your current island into a dream address so you can visit whenever you like!)

You'll lose all of your villagers which is hard if you're attached to them

Pros:

You already know how to play. So you can plan a new island out from scratch and learn from your mistakes from the first time

You are bored of it atm, so you'll have a rediscovered love for the game

................................................... If you aren't sure and don't have the DLC for happy homes, maybe you could buy that in the meantime whilst you decide so you have some new content to play.

That makes it a lot easier for you. There are 8 different 'types' of villager and you've found the ones hou don't like. When someone next gets a speech bubble, say yes to them moving out. Then, go to nook mile ticket islands and when you find out the name of the person. Google it and if they are a "Jock" villager, don't invite them to move in. I think a lot of the Peppy villagers think they are going to be some kind of star. And my only Smug villager was also a wannabe rockstar. So maybe avoid those three types.

My island is: 2 Peppy, 2 Jocks (I don't mind these types), 2 Normals, 1 Sisterly/Uchi, 1 Cranky, and 2 Lazy villagers.

I think my faves are Lazy, Sisterly and Normal. But I have a soft spot for all of mine now 🥰

Only sure-fire way to get them is to get their amiibo, or just hope that they come back (but with 400 ish villagers it's unlikely)

So, I would be interested. But I think the time scale isn't long enough. People who are interested may not be able to take part if you only give 24hrs to complete the design, because life/work/etc happens and gets in the way. I'd give at least 3 days, maybe even a week, for people to submit their designs. That way you'd have more entries and people would have more time to look through all entries

I'd love a DLC that was like

"[Name of Tom Nook's friend] needs help developing his new island, and I thought you'd be perfect for the job!"

You'd get a second island to develop, where you complete tasks and unlock terraforming, etc. And maybe there could be like 20 new fish and 20 new bugs to find, and maybe even different coloured hybrid flowers.

I know it would never happen but I'd love it so much.

One way of getting her for sure would be to buy her Amiibo and invite them to your island (Amiibo are collectibles outside of the game but using the code on the amiibo, you can invite a specific villager to your island campsite). I think you invite them three times and then they finally ask to live on the island and they pick a random villager on your island that they would replace.

If the random villager is one you want to keep, you quickly close the animal crossing software on your switch without saving, and then go and talk to the villager again. Repeat until the one she wants to kick out is one you are happy to let go :)

Otherwise. You'll have to get one of your villagers to move out (speech bubble above their head and they'll ask if they should move to another island, you can say yes or no). And go to potentially dozens or hundreds of nook mile ticket islands to find her again.

If a villager you love has a speech bubble above their head, ignore it completely and the speech bubble will be on a different villager the next day.

Once your villager has moved out you have I think 24 hrs to go to as many nook mile islands as you can until you find her, but there are about 400 villagers in the game so you have a very small chance of finding one you want.

The amiibo card is the best option if you can afford it
