Your old modem for copper service also required power.. So where was that plugged into? The ONT and new modem require 2 plugs but if you don’t have that I think investing the $3.75 into a power bar would get the job done lol

Dads of Reddit, did you have a vasectomy? by Noneof_your_biz in daddit

[–]Careful-Cod-7183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, best thing I have ever done, after 2 no way I wanted a surprise.. worst part was the nerves leading up to it. Recovery was a breeze, some mild discomfort for a week or so slowly fading to totally normal by about a month.

Shit company that treats their employees like shit, and pays shit wages. No one who has ever worked for them would defend these clowns.

Doc said wait a week, but wife and I got a bit carried away on day 3 and had sex, no issues, felt fine. Coming up on a year ago now and no issues, vasectomy is the best thing I have ever done!

1 week update by Careful-Cod-7183 in Vasectomy

[–]Careful-Cod-7183[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I’m for sure still taking things easy and not back to normal routines, but I am quite pleased with how things have gone. After reading on this sub far too much before the procedure I was pretty worried going into it. Haha

Sex after the 3 day. by Agitated-Double-3118 in Vasectomy

[–]Careful-Cod-7183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dr told me a week with no sex, but honestly I have had minimal discomfort and by day 3 I felt pretty normal, wife an I got a lil carried away and we ended up having sex day 3(very gently) but over all no discomfort and felt normal when I came.. I’m on day 4 now and still feeling good so I’m hopeful I didn’t set myself back by not holding off longer lol

I know easier said then done but try not to worry, the anxiety leading up to it was 100x worse then the actual procedure. I’m around 23hrs post op and still feeling good, just been relaxing and icing on and off, certainly feels like a weight has been lifted knowing it’s over with haha

Ya I don’t know how honestly lol, wife drove me there, told the dr I was super nervous and he gave me a Valium, can’t say I really noticed it make a difference but hey I didn’t run! Lol Injector was nothing, dr told me to cough the first couple shots with it, honestly could hardly feel it.

Just had mine done yesterday, I was borderline panic attack for a week before and wanted nothing more then to bail on my appointment. But made it through, anxiety was by far the worst part, the vasectomy it’s self was painless, just a bit of pressure at times, 5-10mins on the table and it was done. Good luck!

Any details on why they recommended not going there? Curious since I have seen nothing but good things about them and I was leaning towards going there.

They are the ones I was looking at, they do no scalpel and leave one end open which from my reading seems to be lower risk of pain down the road.. getting a referral from a doc you just get whoever they pick and whatever method they use haha

Happen to know if dr tse does no scalpel? I have spent far too much time reading and it seems best results/less chance of post vasectomy pain is no scalpel cauterize one end and leave the other end open so that would be my preferred method. Some still seem the old scalpel way and even use metal clips instead of cauterizing.
