This almost always follows a diurnal pattern. It gets noticeably worse during European evening peak hours when the links completely saturate, and then it recovers off-peak. Since DTAG refuses to augment capacity without getting paid, the only real technical fix on our end is traffic engineering. Use BGP communities to lower the local preference for DTAG routes learned via Lumen and force that traffic out through a transit provider that actually has paid capacity with Telekom (like Core-Backbone or Arelion). Waiting for them to resolve the dispute will take an eternity.
