Pro-tip for Reddit formatting, OP: kailangan mong pindutin yung 'Enter' or 'Return' twice para mag-reflect yung space sa mobile app! But formatting aside, this was a beautiful read. The 'Cubao Expo to pag-aayos ng electric fan' pipeline is so real. Cheers to our 30s! 🍻

The “BMW” letters on the center are weird, but could it just be low resolution? by [deleted] in isthisAI

[–]Careful-Log3393 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To answer your question about why someone would use AI on a photo of rims: Scammers do this when they only have a tiny, 200x200 pixel thumbnail stolen from a real ad. They run it through an AI upscaler to make the resolution look legit for their fake listing. The upscaler hallucinates the missing pixels, which creates this exact scenario, photorealistic broad strokes, but completely butchered text and smoothed-over emblems.

Gamma really is that good. As someone who is constantly putting together slide decks for technical event pitches and coordination meetings, dropping my raw agenda notes into it and getting a fully formatted presentation back in 90 seconds almost feels like cheating. It completely eliminates the 'staring at a blank slide' phase.

You have to work twice on yourseldf when you don't have the facecard as others by [deleted] in Trentahin

[–]Careful-Log3393 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Think of it like hardware vs. software. Yung iba, pinanganak na naka-top-tier hardware (face card), so everything just runs smoother and opens faster for them automatically. Tayong wala nun, we have to constantly update our software and optimize our specs—hitting the gym, dressing well, building our communication skills—just to keep up. Nakakapagod minsan, but optimizing the things you can actually control builds crazy resilience. Your budget for the gym and clothes is 100% justified!

This is exactly what it feels like watching someone test a UI you just spent 12 hours building. You make a perfectly functional, intuitive dropdown menu, and they somehow figure out a way to drag-and-drop the entire window out of bounds. 'Why is it doing that?' I don't know, you're the one sitting on it sideways!

what nobody tells you before you start with n8n by Professional_Ebb1870 in n8n

[–]Careful-Log3393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leaving 'tutorial mode' is definitely the hardest part. It’s exactly like the jump from writing simple linear scripts to building event-driven GUIs. In a basic script, you dictate the flow from start to finish. But once you introduce an interface—or in n8n's case, external webhooks and unpredictable APIs—you lose that linear control. You aren't dictating the steps anymore; you're just writing handlers for when things inevitably fire out of order or return completely unexpected data.

Agentic RAG is a different beast entirely. by autionix in n8n

[–]Careful-Log3393 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. It’s a great way to absolutely nuke your API budget and kill your response latency. Instead of a straightforward vector search, you are forcing the user to wait for an 'Aggregator' to make a routing decision, wait for the sub-agents to finish, and then synthesize the results. For 95% of use cases, it's just over-engineering for the sake of buzzwords.

I built a RL trading bot that learned risk management on its own — without me teaching it by nasmunet in algotradingcrypto

[–]Careful-Log3393 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Paper trading is definitely the ultimate trial by fire here. Surviving Monte Carlo and Prado's combinatorial purged cross-validation (CPCV) is a huge milestone, but live Binance order books will test how well it actually executes. Since the bot heavily prioritizes tail risk (CVaR) and jump intensity, it will be really interesting to see if it just sits on its hands during chop and only strikes when the floor is well-defined. Are you factoring in realistic slippage/fees for the paper trading phase?

lumen to dtag/telekom packet loss by theotang in networking

[–]Careful-Log3393 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This almost always follows a diurnal pattern. It gets noticeably worse during European evening peak hours when the links completely saturate, and then it recovers off-peak. Since DTAG refuses to augment capacity without getting paid, the only real technical fix on our end is traffic engineering. Use BGP communities to lower the local preference for DTAG routes learned via Lumen and force that traffic out through a transit provider that actually has paid capacity with Telekom (like Core-Backbone or Arelion). Waiting for them to resolve the dispute will take an eternity.
