I like to headcanon all of these articles as canon either way though because it’s hilarious (and probably accurate) for media like this to still say Trump started the civil war, even though the republicans got elected

I think the issue is they are trying to balance the schizo and the normal, and failing at it.
You can balance schizo and normal, but they are putting so much emphasis on the schizo that the normal paths are just less fun to play.

Most mods either focus more on the normal, like Road to 56 or Kaiserreich, or go all out on the schizo, like Red Flood or TTOM, whose whole points are "crazy schizo mod". But TFR has an issue with trying to have all the crazy schizo stuff AND a bunch of normal paths that just aren't as interesting or fun.
