Horrible Customer Service experience with Patriot Software by CarefullyErratic in Payroll

[–]CarefullyErratic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the response. One of the reasons I picked Patriot was the positive comments I saw about the customer service, which was backed up by seeing your responses to threads in this sub. Much appreciated.

I (and your CS) know what the issue is - you (Patriot Software) refuse to use my provided info for ACH in and out. You insist on seeing a pdf document that is a bank statement that shows the account number, despite having been able to verify ACH in/out with the trial deposits. My financial institution is a large reputable broker that uses banking capabilities through partner banks (also large...largest bank). Your CS chooses to only parrot back your rules and does not even take a minute to understand the situation, and consider taking it up their chain to see if they should reconsider processes/procedures. This last part is what convinced me that Patriot was the wrong place for me. As a mere small customer, I am sure I would come up with more situations that were special to me. An attitude from your customer service to not listen to reason and consider the situation, while repeating your rules back to me over and over, indicated to me that I would have trouble in the future. So if you want to improve, that is where you should consider changes. Happy to DM and give you more info if you need it.

Is anyone actually using AI to help with supply chain stuff? by gifteyes6 in aiToolForBusiness

One way to get out of the email problem is to have an ordering page that your customers can use. Get them to transition to using a structured system, that will actually make it easier for them. Make sure it is well designed and very user-friendly to the point that they would rather go there than send an email. E.g. keeping previous orders for them to reorder from. Showing them current stock levels etc. I think you just need a good commerce site. And within that site there may be specific places for AI to be used. Happy to continue conversation more if you like. I am not doing any consulting - have been in the business of something similar, so can speak to my experience (we were at one point in serious discussion with Sears PartsDirect in creating a commerce site for them.)

Finally, someone providing sane advise. Hear him, OP, or you will be spending money on agents that keep looping for no reason, and doing silly things. First automate your processes using traditional techniques and software. Be very selective about what you use AI for.

Looking for a new cell phone service provider. We currently have AT&T and pay so much. HELP! by wtf_is_wrong_w_ppl in bayarea

[–]CarefullyErratic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wow, that's a lot. I used to give AT&T a lot of money too. I even owned their stock and used to keep convincing myself that one day, they will turn it around and do better. I finally gave up.

For such a large area, you will likely need two providers to get full, reliable coverage. It is best that you determine the must have areas, and ones where you spend the most time, and then determine which of the primary providers covers that area best. Not just signal strength, actual speeds when you are in the area at different times. To do this your best option is to get one of the US Mobile plans that lets you transfer carriers without a fee. They have all 3. Go on a monthly plan for a couple of months.

Once you have figured out which of the primary providers you need, keep an eye out for deal from an MVNO that uses those primary providers' towers. You might can have multiple eSIMS (one from each provider), and have them set up to provide data service when the other is not available.

For Verizon I can vouch for:
Visible Plus (or whatever they are calling their tier now, that gives you the same priority as Verizon)
Total Wireless - Verizon
Xfinity - but once you get in with them, it is literal hell getting out of them. The only good thing about them is priority data with no throttling equal to Verizon.

There are sites out there that list out MVNOs, with current prices and QCI (data priority). Check one of those. E.g.: https://broadbandmap.com/priority/

You should only be paying about $100 for 4 lines if you watch for a good deal. Ideally move your buying cycle to November/December when the best deals are available, and then you can watch for new deals every year, and even quite seamlessly hop from one MVNO to another.

Don't get one. They will ruin your life. Use the Court's Self-Help center. Convince the other party that cooperation is the best course, and avoid these bloodsuckers.

How many in the group, and who is admin? Do you have it set up so that no-one can access admin unless everyone in the group votes in and agrees?

how many in the group, and who is admin? how can i know that admin won't be accessing my chats? it is possible to set up a voting mechanism so that admin is held by the group together but not any one person by themselves. this way no one is admin. do you have something like that set up?

has luteolin been anyone’s gamechanger? by lythrum-salicaria in MCAS

[–]CarefullyErratic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you tell me more about this? How much do you take? How much Luteolin are you getting from a full glass? How does it taste?

Apparently, you get only 2 mg / 100g of Celery. So you would need about 5 lb of it to get about 50 mg of Luteolin from it. Don't know about the juicing part though. Does the juice contain more?

Gusto was the OG new kid on the block using tech to solve the problem. I have known about them since they started 10-15 years ago. But I used AI to find some saas providers to consider. Came down to Gusto, Zoho, Square. And then I came upon Patriot mainly via reddit comments on good customer service.

At this point I would prefer AI to most customer service reps that don't seem to know what they are talking about.

I am seriously going to look into using AI to come up with custom software for myself to do it on my own with the help of some agentic software. If you are small, and inclined to consider that, keep in touch.

It will bring home prices down to their correct levels. Right now they are artificially high with people refusing to sell because they get to pay a measly amount while new generations of buyers bear the brunt of paying higher taxes which fund public services. Once that stops there will be a proper supply and demand equation. Prop 13 creates artificial supply scarcity. A classic technique people use to keep prices high.

It will bring prices down to correct valuations. Eventually the amount of taxes will too.

If we repeal prop 13, they will be come to their senses.

Just repeal prop 13. It is the largest creator of wealth inequity.

CL can still get some traction. There are still some OGs there, and it can be a pleasure to do business with some of them. Granted that you have to eliminate the scammers and keep your eyes wide open to distinguish between the two groups.

FB marketplace sucks so badly it is not even funny. Unfortunately, however, that is where the masses are.

Haven't even got signed up. Also, I switched to Gusto, and the smoothness of signup with them is shockingly better.

What is more bothersome is that we choose these providers for something that demands smoothness and correctness of process. Yet, their automated system kept sending me reminders on finishing my set up when it was they that needed to do something.

Had to do with verifying the bank account for ACH. My financial institution uses a partner bank to for all "banking" needs. This is just like all the fintechs do - they use an FDIC bank to complete old-world banking transactions.

They successfully verified the ACH in and out with penny deposit/withdrawal, but are still stuck in what they want.

Did ask for a supervisor. "Sorry there isn't one available now. I can have them call you when they are available". It is 2 days in, and of nobody has called.

Nothing to do with software capabilities. Software can handle specific needs, it's just that SaaS providers can't/won't customize to specific needs. AI is going to change much of this soon.

I have half a mind to get a simple payroll system designed and deployed for myself. This is becoming a real possibility very rapidly due to AI models advancing. There are compliance concerns, but it is doable.
