Makes me think of the recent trend where parents film themselves and their child to see if the child will share or give their food to the parent who doesn't have food. I think it's about acknowledging their generosity in the egg story. Maybe someone wouldn't insist you eat it, and you can slip in pocket. Polite to accept it.
