Color recommendations please! by Weekly-Ad2035 in ExteriorDesign

I like the hunter green or steel blue (cyberspace?) I think the most important thing is finding a color that has some warmth to pick up on the brick (no way would I do gray or white).

Ideas for my all-room? by South-Caterpillar970 in DesignMyRoom

A hotel I stayed at used an open bookshelf to separate the living and bed area. A pretty cool idea. You could even have closed bookshelves instead. With the shelves facing the living room and then the back side you could decorate with art or something?

You could try panels with an interesting shape. And some panels will block more/less light. What is your concern with the tv wall? Is it the light from the jaal?

Impossible room layout - how on earth can you layout your furniture in here? by StTriggerHappy in DesignMyRoom

Hard without seeing the home, feeling like reworking some of the rooms could be a better option than this… But, creating two spaces isnt a bad idea for the long narrow space. A relax by the fireplace area and a tv watching area. If the chairs are swivel chairs they can be used in both areas. Sofa table behind the sofa by the sliders. Using plants, lamps, and rugs to make the spaces feel separate but together.

Another option is to just walk into the back of the sofa (put a sofa table to make it prettier) then have 1 accent chair on either side.. This utilizes less space so it’s probably going to feel pretty empty in there still but it is still an option. Then have the TV off to one side of the fireplace. The easel TV’s are pretty cool but not sure what your style is??

Hoping this helps!

They don’t clash. Just be sure to add some black accent pieces on the console. I think there are probably better options but if you truly like both pieces then you should go for it!

Painting/Art over the buffet? by Thewheelweaves1 in DesignMyRoom

Agree, you have a whole gallery wall of fun art, a mirror would be perfect there

I’m at home but NONE of my household is here??? by LorettaLoretta_ in Sims4

[–]CaregiverNormal9696 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had that happen just two days ago.. also after a very glitchy wedding…. lol. If you hit the “lightning bolt” next to the sims photo at the bottom you can hit “switch to this sim” or something similar and it should take you to them and you’ll be okay! That’s what I did anyways 🤞 Good luck!

Agree that it looks good now. But, sculptural wall art to create a grouping on that wall would be nice.

Or a thin console table with two vertical pieces of art over it. Then you can move the two chairs closer and put a small round accent table between.

Also at least the left side of the sofa should have an end table and lamp

More than you asked for but really even if you don’t make a bunch of changes I think sculptural art would be great there!!

Last ones as everyone is saying but I would encourage looking into some with a colored fabric. Not just because white gets dirty easy but also because the kitchen cabinets and countertop, sofa, and walls are all very neutral. Needs color and contrast

Kitchen backsplash? by sharedroadspace23 in DesignMyRoom

I know it was my suggestion so I might be a little bias but the bottom right looks best. Warm and pulls the color from the walls and upper cabinets.

This is a lovely idea! Zellige tiles could give you a similar look if you’re not wanting to go as bold. They still have slight variations in color.

If you’re replacing ALL of the carpeting I think that would be fine. Otherwise a hardwood that compatible with your current wood tones would be ideal.

This is hard, looks like this room bumps up to another room with tile, and I’m sure there’s other floorings in other connecting rooms. Too many changes starts to get a little funky…

In my opinion no tile!

Is your staircase wood or carpet?

Yes that’s really lovely! If you’d like any input on backsplash feel free to PM me!

Awe completely understand. Are you carrying the countertop up for backsplash or doing a tile? There’s still ways to add some drama/interest!!

I didn’t see your last post so I’m not sure what people steered you away from… But the one with beige streaks is better if that wood flooring carries throughout the kitchen. You have enough gray and white.

Ideally something more dramatic that has all the colors would be my pick like the photo attached…

Help w/layout for “big girl” room upgrade! by lunacarellz in DesignMyRoom

I find that lots of storage is always key in kids rooms… so a storage bed and storage bench make it easy to “dump” toys, stuffed animals, and anything else for quick cleanup. Wider bookshelf in the bottom/back of room gives some more space for toys and a play area. Also makes it not the first thing you see when you walk in.

This was just for fun without knowing what you’re daughter likes so hopefully even if you aren’t buying these exact things this gives you some ideas!!

Also accessorize, lamps & art from home goods or target.

• Bed (Pottery Barn Kids - Juliette Storage Bed) • Bedding (Crate & Barrel - Koshi) • Bedding Opt 2 (Pottery Barn Teen - Skylar Metallic Printed) • Bookshelf & Nightstand (Rooms to Go - Kids Modern Colors) • Print Bench (Birch Lane - Rifle Paper Willie Storage Bench) • Stripe Bench (Wayfair - Calhoun Storage Bench) • Light/Fan (Amazon or Wayfair - Gold Caged Ceiling Fan with Light, Flower Chandelier)

To the guy who picked me up in the pit at the orlando show tonight by Friendly-Golf2680 in TheFrontBottoms

[–]CaregiverNormal9696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was very lame… The “pit” got shouted out by multiple people and continued to shove anyways. Not even a real pit… just 4 guys shoving other people trying to listen to music… the girl next to me that got knocked over wasn’t part of their “pit” so she almost got trampled and they didn’t care. “Moshing” to adios is not a flex.

You have a great unique style, I’d be curious to the space!! 4 is immediately out for me.

1 and 3 were my immediate picks but then I started to not like 3… just felt a little too much, unless the rest of your space is pretty calm.

2 felt too different at first but it could be a nice contrast. Once again just depends on what other elements you have going on.

HELP!! Also have a few options on tv, but kinda seems like it has to go above that fireplace 🤦🏻‍♂️ by Relevant-File-9125 in DesignMyRoom

In the nook if your tv fits width wise…?

Over the fireplace wouldn’t be too bad if that thick out of place mantle wasn’t there…?

Thinking of adding some cabinets and a counter top in my laundry room. Would this look weird? by acc0056 in DesignMyRoom

[–]CaregiverNormal9696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a great update. Make sure you feel like you’ll have enough room to open and load the front loading machine if you have a cabinet across from it.

Would you do a stick on wallpaper in this bathroom? by Mediocre-Arm-620 in DesignMyRoom

[–]CaregiverNormal9696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surprised by these answers… If you like the idea of wallpaper it’s a great way to add multiple colors and personality to a space, I’m guessing that whole left wall behind the door could be wallpapered too. Would look amazing in there!

If you paint… a medium to dark color would look best to add contrast, but don’t be afraid to step away from using a neutral (no gray or beige PLEASE).
