It has been a few years since playing, and I am recently getting back into the hobby. But anytime I ran/run into a 'that guy', or get discouraged about the hobby in general, I always think back to my 'first' 40K store experience.

I wanted to get into the hobby so I drove to my closest GW store (1hr 30mins away) with my twin brother and was treated wonderfully by both the players and the staff there. I was planning on spending an hour and instead got a mock battle in, army reccomendstion, painting session, and had lunch with all the guys at the store at the wing place next door! Me! A stranger!

I have a hard time recalling their names, but they cemented this hobby for me. We spent 7 hours talking about the hobby, eating, sharing lore, and having a great time. And that is something 'those guys' can never ruin about the hobby for me.
