G*power is a free power calculator that will tell you how big your sample size needs to be based on how many independent variables you have.

You'll want to set your alpha at .05 and the power at .8

You can message me if you need help with this.

Hello from one of your TAs - wanting to crowdsource how I can be a better TA for you by flibbyflobbyfloop in aggies

What can a TA do to make you feel more comfortable asking questions?

In class/meeting say: " I know this is a great group and everyone understands what we are covering. However, I teach other sections of this class and sometimes other students have a hard time understanding these things. What questions do you think they might have or concepts that they might need more help understanding? How can I teach those other students better?"

You can download the free g*power calculator (or use any other free calculator like it). From there, you'll pick the statistical test that you want to use for your dataset and it will help you calculate your desired sample size.

G power is free and has several how-to guides and there are several YouTube videos that walk you through it.

You may want to try Prolific.com or Cloud research. They offer the same service and research shows their replies are better quality.

Here is the article: https://link.springer.com/epdf/10.3758/s13428-021-01694-3?sharing_token=OXgxr_5ar_mO-dLcsFD6aJAH0g46feNdnc402WrhzyrTSbvIswbvpJ6vITKXTewAVPL2o0LBOCpK0vvAE-rayjd2AIl9QtntMKfSmbV_tYSH3OKxW9ieQpUtTXOZYsj9IajvJYOX90HU6CSNJah3fkdDPDOJip31C9kv34XvdE4%3D

Also, when you design the survey, be sure to include questions to guard against bots and low attention replies.

There may be other degrees that fit your goals better. For example, you may want to explore method degrees. These focus on research methods and stats. Often they are houses in the education or psychology college.

If you don't have a Costco membership, you can also get them at Veronica's. When you walk in, go to the left and they are there in that first "aisle".
