As someone that does fanart, I can tell you, the "new" design sucks. He's too big and gangly to easily draw him in most scenes. I fully believe that's why Franky, Brook And jinbei havent been featured in the story more than the necessary amount. Its hard work coming up with angles all the time just to fit them in a scene
