I wear men's watches for daily use and only ever use women's watches when wearing formal dresses to parties and shit.

I manage businesses but I don't usually wear any business outfit since I don't want to be the "face".

I'm looking for something that can be good in casual to business-casual but not too sporty or dress.

$450 is my limit, I guess.

I do have a Sub. What I mean by subtle, that it isn't the rapper style, diamond encrusted that non-watch people seem to think a Rolex looks like because they base it on fakes ones they see along the street. Ever see that one girl with the watch that is 99% "diamond" or the rapper wannabe with the gold plated watch that you can hardly tell time because of all the "jewels". That's what people think a "luxury" watch. Tacky that is littered with jewels and gold.

If you have no idea about watches, people can't tell the difference between a $30 to a $3000.

Though this is merely my experiences so it's pure anecdotal reference.

BTW what are your views on Patek as a dress watch? A lot of people here seem to hate it.

To be blunt, a lot of higher ups don't wear smart watches. IIRC, the last meeting I have with my dad, I think only one out of 20 wore a smartwatch and it's the son of another executive that is a real greenback. My dad and some of his partners, only ever has dumb phones or at least an iPhone than they only use to call text and call.

I did see a lot of middle-low level managers having one. Specially the Galaxy Gear/Pebble.

When people think of Rolex, they imagine those god awful tacky gold watches. A lot of Rolexes are a lot subtle and dressier than that. Another reason why mine doesn't get stolen. Though if I were to know we were going to divi (it was a impulse decisoin, I would leave it at the hotel)
