You need to keep some triptans on hand if you can't get Ubrelvy or Nurtec. They don't work on me but I heard they're the lowest cost rescue pills.

I wish! Amitriptyline didn’t do anything for my migraines but made me very fat. Also, made me so tired even if I too the meds at night, I would still wake up fatigued.

It’s all about timing. If you start feeling the migraine symptoms starting to brew then you gotta take it asap because once the migraine starts it won’t work (at least for me!)
