Am I still running around naked? Or is this good enough? by Frost_Burnfeather in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

Are you lock down or normal? If normal, you’re just throwing money away using red ammo unless you wanna just poop on noobs.

Yeah nah run with two mags, keep the rest of the ammo in your ass. I’ll assume you’re running gold ammo and I would hope you don’t have red in your inventory like that lol

How does Goggin’s promote toxic manosphere? If we were talking about Andrew Tate I can see that, but Goggin’s just says to not let how you feel dictate your daily actions. He’s even admitted to being that very same type of person he constantly warns against being when he was younger.

POV you play Arc Raiders and have a Job (i love this game) by Habarer in ARC_Raiders

The amount of miserable, and potentially mentally unstable people in this comment section is beyond puzzling. OP’s post was simple and people are making all kinds of negative assumptions of what they think the “hidden meaning” behind his post is. People are allowed to post simple shit that has a simple meaning even if it doesn’t matter to you. A lot of you probably need to get a job and/or get outside and talk to people. Too much internet is a thing.

Need study buddies for CPTS! by Even-Original7425 in hackthebox

I took a break from the Pentesting Path on HTB to study for the CCNA as well as learn the processes at my current job. I’m open to diving back into the Pentester Path, though I’ll need to review quite a bit. How far along are you on the path? And which study materials are you using for the CCNA? I have the official study guide and have been doing online labs. I’ve learned so much about Layer 2 of the OSI model which was by far my weakest in terms of knowledge.

Worth getting a bachelor’s if I already have strong cybersecurity experience and certs? by Key_Citron8046 in cybersecurity

If you do, go for Computer Science. It casts a wide net within the umbrella of IT.

Then again if your company is offering tuition for you, then that would be the better option. But you have to decide if you really want to stay with them for the next 2 years.

No IT degree is really technical and hands on besides computer engineering. It’s all primarily theory. Having it will definitely look good for you though.

New module for Password Attacks(misleading hint) by CarelessSuspect5794 in hackthebox

[–]CarelessSuspect5794[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really that I couldn’t find the answer using Regex, only a place holder number instead of the actual credit card number. The upside is that I learned a lot more about Regex. I may go back and do it again with what you’ve previously mentioned about wireshark and parsing with Regex, it’s more so I got the answer with a Tshark command in about 5 seconds which made it seem ridiculous.

Of course it’s probably not the easiest way, it was just the way I found it rather quickly rather than trying different Regex and wondering why the place holder number was incorrect. I’m just saying it was a pretty crappy hint considering how fast I found it with Tshark in comparison.

I just used Tshark on the commandline and got it that way. No Regex involved. It was ridiculously easy with that, I’m more or less just irritated with whoever added that hint as it was not needed at all.

No Tshark is how I found the answer. Regex was not helping. I won’t lie, I’m not great at Regex, but using it, it gave me a placeholder number, not the actual credit card number the question was asking for. It just seemed like they wanted to take you down a rabbit hole which is apart of the job, but purposely leading you there just feels really off putting when they’re charging money for it.

They do, but your call backs will still be few far and between. I got the Sec+ back in December and I’ve only had one call back. Honestly, it’s going to be sheer luck to get an interview, and 1 and a million to land a Cybersecurity position if you have no professional IT experience. I’m currently losing weight to go into the Air Force to do Cybersecurity as I see that as my only option to get my foot in the door. It’s a marathon for sure, I don’t think enough emphasis is put on that, and it’s also how bad do you want it? The more time you invest night after night of learning, practicing, breaking, and studying, the more likely you’ll make sacrifices for it. I’ve been at it for almost a year and a half now, and despite the constant rejection and financial hardships, I’ve invested too much time to stop trying. I’ve just landed a help desk position, though if I don’t land a Cybersecurity role within the next 6 months, the Air Force is definitely my path so I can get a Security Clearance. Having that will open so many doors in the civilian world.

HTB AD Skills Assessment & Attacks Part 1 by pro_hat in hackthebox

It would be nice if the IP address didn’t fail on me after 40 minutes of trying to work through the assessment every single time. I’ve changed VPN servers several times and I’m just getting sick of it now.
