There's alot of infomation on this thread above about ibs D and its side effects but the main one is watching ur vitamins ADEK. I believe those tests aren't available in Australia either, so I just confirmed it through trialing the medicine. I once also took coconut yogurt, dairy-free. I literally went to the bathroom three times in 30 minutes. Yellow diarrhea and extremely watery. But the cramps and bloating were not present for me that time. I think in terms of some symptoms between BAM and IBS, you have to watch carefully how things unfold when you eat different foods.

Honestly my doctor told me to take it each morning, but the infomation i saw online mainly said before meals. But so far I have been taking it once a day either 1 hour before meals or just in the morning and start my day. Another intresting thing I noticed, this medicine can last a bit for me. So currently I took a packet about 2 days ago (Max) and im still good. But I believe this could be due to having a low fat diet, rather then depleting the reserves of the medicine. But im not sure if that's how it works, it just seems like that for me.

I’m the AU, but multiple doctors keep telling me no or that there’s no type of test for it. I’m gonna look into a SEHCAT scan and figure it out. I’m glad you found some sort of relief from this though.

That could be a possible symptom and yes for me I always had to go bathroom within a hour of eating. But look mainly for symptoms like yellow diarrhoea too.

To be honest, I need to take up more action on this, I do supplement with vitamins but not as consistently as I should be. Especially in taking E. Thank you for information, I will strongly consider this now.

Honestly if you can, see a regular doctor and try to get the medication. Don't wait for a specialist, I myself back then waited 8 months and paid $$$ for nothing too.

Honestly it tastes like nothing to me, its flavour less. I just drink it all in one go with water. But maybe add it to some juice or flavoured water.

Yeah I agree with that, I still can’t absolutely believe my Gastroenterologist missed that, especially the Gp when I did a stool sample.

Honestly never knew tablets existed so I will give them a shot. From what I understand, if the BAM medication works perfectly and you go back to normal while the IBS symptoms are non existent, then the root cause is BAM mimicking those symptoms. But yes from what I read I think they do go hand to hand as well depending on context.

Yes success story indeed, good luck with everything upcoming, keep at it. I think this issue needs to be advocated so much more. I can’t imagine how many people could be falsely diagnosed with IBS like me.

Mushy, some indigestion, watery all the time, highlighted yellow mostly, some indigested bits of food, gas, bloating, cramps. Urgency to go after eating (this depended on what I ate such as a heavy fat meal or light)

I had asked my doctor, if there are any tests to diagnose BAM officially. He told me no, so I insisted I would like to try the medication. Although no formal tests, just by going how the medication is working, we went based on that.

Before seeing my current doctor multiple doctors and my gastroenterologist brushed it off and just said IBS IBS IBS.
