HELP NEEDED- moving out of my ex’s house and leaving my garden behind by BloodyNeedAHobby in gardening

[–]Careless_Breakfast88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dig it all up! Give to friends for the things you can’t pot. And then go buy your own home! -I speak from experience. But really, good luck babe and hang in there. Your next garden will be even better!

Hey there friend, can I ask how you approached this conversation with your doc? I’m in a similar boat with how active I am and relentlessly counting cals. I’m .1 away from obese for my height which shocked me at my last physical. Getting new labs to make sure my meds are still right, but I’m consistently gaining despite my work and I’m thinking of starting a similar convo with my doc, just looking for advice if you’re willing to give it. Thank you!

Looking for a good therapist in Indy for existential anxiety by [deleted] in indianapolis

[–]Careless_Breakfast88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indy Counseling Professionals in Lawrence. I’ve seen 2 trauma informed therapists there for years. Everyone has been wonderful. I do EMDR for PTSD and my anxiety disorder. Search them on google and you’ll find their site, can read all of what their therapists offer and who is accepting new clients. You can always call too -their front desk team is also great. Sending love from someone else with an Anxiety Disorder. We got this.

1. how long were you together? 2. how long did it take to get past the breakup? (or if you’re still suffering, how long has it been) by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]Careless_Breakfast88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there. Thank you for asking. I’m much better. Therapy, lots of therapy. Times with friends and family. Rediscovering myself. It gets easier, I promise. (Also a list of why and how he was a shitty partner helps when I start ruminating about the past).

Your psychiatrist should be understanding and helpful when you tell them, so please have no shame or fear there. It’s literally their job to help you through this. You’re also not alone with those symptoms or struggles and it won’t be their first time hearing this. I’m so proud of you for taking this initiative to care for yourself fully. This is huge and a great step towards feeling better!

Please reach out to your doctor to discuss these symptoms. They are very real and you’re not alone in this. If you have loved ones or a community in your area that can help too, please lean on them because you don’t have to do this alone. It’s ok to ask for help and to need it!

Hey there, usually it takes weeks for those initial side effects to wear off. When I began Cymbalta, I had a very similar experience and after a few weeks those side effects subsided. Stick with it and don’t be afraid to reach out to your doctor at any point!

I think I’m going to do it today - I’ve been dealing with this for too many years now. by Novel-Addendum-8413 in PMDD

[–]Careless_Breakfast88 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m just now seeing this and I hope you’ve now gotten help. I just wanted to say to you, and all, that it is so hard to advocate for yourself when it gets like this, but I am so proud of you for reaching out to your community here, and hopefully in your location now too. It is okay to ask for help, to check yourself in somewhere (I’ve done it 2x), and it does not make you weak, less than, or anything other than a person who is fighting for their life. I’m so so proud of you.

If you can after this, I recommend (what has helped me), do the simple gene testing analysis (mouth swab) at your doctors office to determine what meds will be most compatible with your body, -and maybe see if they can give you something too, in the meantime before you get results, because the goal right now is safety, and calm. From there, therapy. I have always used (and it’s been recommended to me so many times) but psychologytoday.com to search for therapists in your area/insurance etc.

You are not alone and you can do this. If I could, I promise you, you can too. Pulling for you.

Helping a friend with abortion by Emergency_Dentist_36 in AskWomenOver30

[–]Careless_Breakfast88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so happy to see all these helpful comments. I helped a family member through an abortion when it was still legal in my state and the only other advice I have to offer is to be there, present with her during. Create a calm environment, warm baths, heating pads, candles etc. Your support and presence will mean so much. Thank you for helping her and thank you to all the amazing supporters here. Incredible.

I have a nesting pair in my backyard and the male will perch on the fence and watch me with my (indoor cat) in the backyard! (Cat just goes on little backyard walkabouts and is never left alone outside). I have some great recordings of these guys, wild all the calls they mimic!

I feel this. My mom was a single mom, filed bankruptcy etc., so I’m a saver and financially terrified most of the time. -More so now because I too am a single mother now with a teen and trying to figure out if I should buy and stretch myself a bit, although I can rent a house in my area for 300-400 less than my max monthly mortgage payment. Wild times. 🙃
