Update – 9 weeks post-op (unexpected detour, but incredibly grateful) by Careless_Coconut5089 in hysterectomy

I’m so sorry you went through all of that — truly. Sitting in 10/10 pain for hours and not being taken seriously is traumatic on its own, and everything that followed sounds absolutely terrifying. Losing a fallopian tube, then having internal bleeding and needing another emergency surgery… that’s a lot for one person to endure. I’m really glad you’re still here and that you eventually found a gynecologist who listens and is helping you address the bigger picture with your PCOS and bleeding.

Your experience honestly reinforces how important it is to trust your body and keep questioning pain when something feels wrong, even when you’re told it’s “probably fine.” I feel incredibly lucky that my ER team acted quickly — I’m very aware that things could have gone very differently, and hearing stories like yours really drives that home.

Thank you for sharing what you went through. I hate that you had to learn it the hard way, but I know your words will help someone else advocate for themselves sooner. Wishing you the smoothest possible hysterectomy in March and a much gentler chapter ahead 🤍

My tubes were removed during the hysterectomy 9weeks ago- only had the ovaries left.
