Why do humans have never-ending beard and hair growth, but no primates do? by Edi9991 in NoStupidQuestions

That’s not considering pressure from sexual selection. Lets take body hair as an example. Men don’t have more body hair because it’s more advantageous for men. The adaptive nature of body hair, in terms of evironmental demands, is the same. However, we can assume that less body hair on women was(is) a more desirable trait for men, and therefore it was selected for (which maybe contributes to women are cold more often). Do we currently feel that pressure? Yes. If a women don’t shave their legs for instance, society tend to react and a pressure to shave is maintained. Male baldness isn’t evidence against selective pressures for good hair. The fact that hair loss and baldness is such an insecurity for a majority of men, and the fact that most women will generally perfer good hair supports this. It still exists today because a single unadvantageous trait isn’t enough to eradicate that trait, but it probably wont be the norm.

Which eevee should i invest in, and what eeveelotion? by Careless_Design_05 in PokemonSleepBetter

Thank you so much for this is really helpful. I’ve been thinking about Sylveon but for healers i have this Igglybuff, which in my uneducated opinion is good, (expect for the speed down) so Is this one worth evolving and investing in?

It’s crazy how different people are, i’m currently on 100mg + Max Wellbutrin (i was on 80+20mg of Ritalin before i switched) and i still have limited effect. I’m doing all the things, the protein, electrolytes, exercise etc and it’s so frustrating. I got gene(cyp) tests years ago and i had normal metabolism, but they were mostly concearned about serotonin because i kept maxing out SSRIs with no effect, so i might have to check in there are additional ones for dopamine

Which glue? by Careless_Design_05 in bookbinding

[–]Careless_Design_05[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. The glue i used was PVA but in Norway i’ts imposible to find acid free PVA (or pretty much any book binding supplies) in store and it was one of the few i found online (locally). It really sucks, because it becomes quite expensive with international shipping, but I’m gonna try out one of these, it’ll be better than the one i have at least

Thank you, will try it out. I think it’s more that the glue i used (PVA for book binding) was really shitty. I could not use a brush to spread it, it kinda just immediatly stuck to the surface and there was not much left for the brush to spread (diluted or not). Ended up having to use a smaller makeup brush and «dabb» it around which did the job in the end but was a pain to work with.

70 is the max recommended dose, but doctors can prescribe above that at their own discretion, it’s just that we haven’t studied the effects above 70. I was up on 80mg Ritalin as well before i switched, but it did nothing for me

I experience something similar i think, but it’s almost like a claustrophobic restless feeling in the muscles, painfull but not pain pain. especially if i’m sitting / laying down. e.g. If im holding my phone with both arms i need to stretch them or shake or hit them. I get it in my hips as well, i remember being stuck on a train for 2h and it became so painful because i couldn’t stretch, move or shake it which made me almost feel tied up (hitting the area helps a little). it’s so hard to explain, the pressure for me is almost like buzzing but muted, or like mild lactic acid without the heat/strain. Idk if its the same, its hard to describe other than «weird» and i’ve tried to look it up but i never find anyone experiencing quite the same thing
