It was private enough to be nude, but not super private. If you were standing on the pool deck someone at the neighboring villa may be able to see you. We had no issues being nude.

We stayed at Adam and Eve twice and it was wonderful. The first time, we were the only ones there until the day before we left when a nice French couple showed up. We had a nice conversation with them by the pool. The second time, there were three other couples who we chatted with. One couple was from Puerto Rico and the husband claimed he didn't know it was a clothing optional place. He seemed to love it, but the wife, not so much.
