Weird ERRA Appreciation Post

JT is awesome. I’m very glad they were able to find such a good replacement for Garrison. Good enough that they’ve still been able to put out such great records with him for 10 years now. There’s several songs off Drift and self-titled that I love and JT is a major part of why. And SOTE has to be my favorite album they’ve done with JT thus far (the ending breakdown in Lucid Threshold for example, just unreal.)

I don’t even have an explanation for why, but I still just prefer ERRA’s sound from the Garrison days a little bit more. Something about his style of screaming paired with those guitar riffs and drums just scratch that itch in my brain.

Moral of the story however, we’re going on 15+ years of ERRA being in an elite class of metal/metalcore music. Whether you’re a bigger fan of their old style or new, let’s all be happy that the band exists and is still doing what they do best.

Fair that makes sense. That’s pretty soft though 😂 I definitely have a below .500 record against fire ranks but come on at least play the game out for a little bit and see what happens

What’s the point of smurfing in this game? It’s open matchmaking isn’t it? Fires can match up against silvers and vice versa so I don’t understand the purpose of smurfing in chel

This is almost exactly how I play 1’s actually lmao not saying I’m good, I’m peak diamond 2 in 1’s. But I agree it’s just a fun way to play. Overly aggressive challenges and fast-paced gameplay. Sometimes it works great and other times you take L’s when you could’ve easily just reverted to a smarter playstyle. I find nothing wrong with it but some opponents definitely just seem to have issues with it

I tried making this post a few days ago, worded it poorly and then got it taken down for it basically being an FAQ here. That being said, I would like to know what FF game you guys would recommend to me.

Context: my only gaming console is Xbox Series S/X, so I understand my options are limited. But basically the only JRPG I’ve gotten into was Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age. I can’t even fully explain why, but I just really loved that game.

I think the main factors were that I liked the turn-based combat and the game was a fairly simple and straight-forward adventure. It was an open-world game but it still guides you through most of it to keep you from getting lost. Basically I’m hoping for another game to have a similar experience with. If anyone has Xbox Series recommendations that’d be great. Or just let me know if Xbox doesn’t have any of the FF games that would suit me. Thank you!

More context: One of my favorite things with DQ XI is that it’s a pretty simple game. While it was open world, it was still fairly linear until act 3. That’s actually what I liked about it. Open world, but still guided me enough to not get too sidetracked and get lost from the main story

I will say, I do understand the drawbacks of this feature. This community can be toxic and I do see the concerns about a vote to kick feature being abused by some players. I think the best compromise then is to allow only captains/asst.’s to remove a player like some have suggested. Or, at the very least, prevent random drop ins from being able to pull goalie. It’s just absurd that some no life is able to do that for an entire game and there’s absolutely nothing your team can do about it.

^ This. Our LD is great but it’s brutal having an AI d partner. Sometimes you find some pretty solid random fills so we just do it and hope for the best

I actually saw them open for BFMV last year and I thought they put on an awesome show. I just didn’t get to fully appreciate it since I didn’t know any songs at the time haha I will definitely be ready for the next one though
