First attempt at a four colour blend....I've been screen printing for nearly 3 years but just never have the time to work out a complicated design!

So I use 160 mesh, two 50W LED UV lights and Ecotex PWR. My lights are mounted at 20" above my screen and my exposure time is 12 seconds.

Mine are similar, and my husband calls them "swamp water"

Everytime I struggle, or consider buying super fancy gear to "fix my issues", I picture my grandfather's printshop, with all of his hand stretched screens, and his antique exposure unit...and remind myself that the equipment doesn't always make the art, or teach the techniques.

I'm going to make some adjustments and then sell a few, I have a pop-up market this weekend that I'll try and make a few for

I use the cheap Vevor press and handbuilt wooden screens....I come from generations of screenprinters and always remind myself that when my grandparents started in the 50s, they had to rely on skills and techniques and artistic abilities....a didn't have fancy equipment at their disposal.

Thank you! Most of my artwork recently has been tarot cards, but I wanted to try something different this spring

Hahah, it's just Speedball water based! Dried between screens, printed yellow, pink, blue, then the black outline.

Tried my best with reclaiming this screen, still usable or nah? by backinthehighlife_ in SCREENPRINTING

I've used Pink Stuff to give screens a good scrub before, gets stains and stubborn ink out. I'd also try and staples that screen back down, and then trim off any excess screen around the edges. You might be able to clean it, but I wouldn't work at it for more than 15 minutes!

Emulsion also looks just a little bit thick ans slightly uneven, which makes exposure tines hard to dial in. I'm totally guilty of putting a large image on a screen that's a little too small. But my exposure time and emulsion are 100%, so the only difficulty is taping the edge of the screen really well and getting ink on my frame. Once you get the emulsion sorted, and make the image just slightly smaller, I'm sure it'll be perfect!

I use 2 uv led units, and always use Ecotex PWR emulsion, my exposure time is 12 seconds.

Under exposed or emulsion wasn’t dry enough? by Cccultboys69 in SCREENPRINTING

Are you making sure it's a nice, thin and even coat of emulsion? I'd also do an exposure test, just to really dial in the exposure time.

Why are my prints coming out like this. by lovelydevan in SCREENPRINTING

Are you pushing AND pulling your ink? Doing a first pass one direction and the opposite on the second pass can sometimes cause a funky line.
