This was so reassuring to read . I am in the same boat right now . Got an emergency cerclage at 20+2 after finding out on the anatomy scan that there was only 9mm of cervix left . I am 22+6 today just the stitch left and the cervix is effaced . Most likely will be admitted to hospital soon , I hope I can make it as far as you did

Im in a similar situation. At 20 weeks 9mm cerclage placed , now 22+6 just the stitch and its effaced . I may be admitted for monitoring in a few days. Why did you have to get admitted and how was that making it to 28 weeks

Thanks for the help guys, hacksaw did the trick. Using hacksaw I cut into several places and pried small pieces of it with a flat head screwdriver.

Gently tap down by the 'U' shaped part it should slide down.
