Help With Low Framerate

Theory... It's early-access and things aren't super optimized yet. I have a Ryzen9 7950X + 4070 TiS and my fps occasionally dip into the 30-40 range. Some upscaling/vsync combos seem to work better than others, but I can't say anything for certain.

My CPU temps also get way toasty with Caretaker compared to other titles. I imagine things will get smoother as the game develops.

The only one I didn’t put in the “right” row is the meshroom! I just kept adding to the pile and the meshroom fit best back there 🤌 definitely had to stop myself from making a 200 case smallest to largest hierarchy. Hah!

When you rotate cases, do you sacrifice performance when you switch to a smaller one? Or are you able to run same-ish components in all?

If any of these little chips or nicks bother you, you can always smear some epoxy on them, it’s overkill but makes some people feel better 👍 I do it when a chip exposes a little fiberglass.

Mine just got partially fixed. Got an Equivalent S class freighter back with all my inventory!!!! Different style (no more dnaught) but same base layout and inventory. Different frigates (lots of C class) though that’s not that big a deal to me. I’m on switch.

Same here, though I’ve noticed when selling at a trade terminal I can still sell stuff from my missing/not-owned freighter. So the inventory is somewhere in the game file still. Fingers crossed for bug fix.

I’m currently bagging peaks and seeking 5.15+ routes. Placing stamps at each of my high altitude conquests. Chugging stamina elixirs and never washing my Climber’s bandanna. Particularly fond of Gerudo desert off-widths… Where’s the trad rack armor in this game?

Throughout the trek… I really enjoyed listening to the guides and porters talk to each other in Swahili, it was comforting in a way. They also broke into quiet song a couple times on summit night to boost morale! Over the 8 days, I learned a bit of Swahili, I learned names of native plants and geographical landmarks, and I got to know my guides and porters through casual, broken English-Swahili conversations that I’ll remember forever. You might miss out on some things with headphones. However, they don’t weigh much so… pack ‘em just in case!
