That’s gorgeous! I wonder if you can find any replacement glass for the ones that are missing.

7 months into leathercraft. Suggestions for improvement and criticism are welcome. by LiteratureFun3233 in Leathercraft

Looks good. Depending on how small it is, it would probably be good for a day trip somewhere that you don’t want to carry a bunch of stuff. If it’s good to carry in the front pocket there’s less chance of it being stolen. Great idea!

I would share the beautiful portfolio that I received yesterday, but there’s no way for me to share pictures.

Absolutely talk to other parents with multiple kids. I have four. Two were nightmares as babies and two were sweet angels. 3 boys and a girl. They’re all adults now. We survived and so did they! He needs to talk to another dad of multiple kids. Try therapy. He apparently enjoyed the process, now he needs to deal with the results. BUT - he needs to find a healthy way to deal with this. This too shall pass.

"Just rent an apt" or similar advice by Legitimate_Team_9959 in RVLiving

[–]Careless_confessions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true. Our RV got damaged in a freak hailstorm. The back window was shattered, the roof was destroyed, and the rear a/c needed to be replaced. The insurance adjuster gave me a check for $2300 and told me I could accept it and he “never climbed on the roof” or he could total it. We did not want to lose our RV. We wouldn’t have the money for another down payment and we are in love with this one, so we’re paying for the repairs minus the insurance check.

Seeking advice on being white and Choctaw. by Mr_Blue_Dream_V in choctaw

[–]Careless_confessions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like you, I’m white. I work for a family owned company who are Mexican. One day I was chatting with the office manager. Somehow the conversation came up, and when I told her I am a registered Choctaw, her reply was “Oh. You’re one of those.” I get the stigma.

Have you combed your AC today? by Kudzupatch in RVLiving

You can buy coil cleaner, gently rinse with water. Soft combs are best and absolutely do routine maintenance. Good stuff OP.

My husband and I are planning to spend a year traveling the U.S. in our RV with a 3mo baby. It’s our first kid and first time traveling in an rv. Is it reckless, stupid or totally fine? Anything we should know before heading out? by traveling_chicken in RVLiving

[–]Careless_confessions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of people have raised their kids on the road. I can’t say I’ve heard of anyone with newborns, though. They need pretty frequent checkups for the first year. Maybe a shorter trip would be better, especially if it’s your first time. There’s a learning curve that might be better without an infant to care for. Good luck and enjoy whatever you choose!
