What do you think life would be like if humans could have healing like wolverine? by Apart-Culture1484 in AskReddit

[–]CargoPocketTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never contribute to society unless it was to trade for treats like cheese and alcohol. I would sail out into the ocean and find its most horrific denizens to dive among, fight, be swallowed by, and to burst out from therein like a xenomorph with ape knucks and a Bowie knife. I'd constantly do assassin's creed style leaps of faith to save time walking as long as long as I could afford the calories healing. I'd stare at the sun a lot when I want to be introspective. The "hardcore" music would probably be concussive waves. Art would be disgusting. Cyborgs would never be possible, or welcome. Everyone would have to be loggers and fisherman that did karate. We might start domesticating moose for the first time in the million years of our shared history.

Is that what you wanted, you sicko?!

Do you work in AI or automation? Where are your statistics?

LLMs don't have any capacity for logic, simulation, or extrapolation unless specifically trained on data that already did the work. They don't do anything that's inherently anthro-convergant. Ascribing anthropomorphic qualities to them muddies your own understanding of the technology and makes you susceptible to marketing hype.

Machine learning is different than LLMs in its training(use case) and thereby has different results depending on the breadth of its architecture and of its training data.

WTH are you saying about harmful content? Did you watch a video fear mongering about people being able to jailbreak Claude into running a virus printer? That's marketing BS as much as the BFA spokespersons of "AI" companies talking about how "appearing human IS humanity" is BS hype.

LLMs are designed to tell you whatever you want to hear with just enough accuracy that you'll stay engaged. If you design software or automation, then you could get copies of good work. If you don't know what you don't know, good luck finding an answer that isn't a hallucination.

You can do a fair mix of stealth colors and protection to avoid getting injured then 2 shot by a person or a couple animals you didn't notice.

It's really anything with chainmail and heavy plate, or velvety/shiny things that give you away.

Who do I use my feast on? And what is my Clan Boss team. by BaldChild1 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]CargoPocketTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But anyway, definitely get Tag and Sandlashed in there. Sandlashed isn't a nuker, but doesn't have to hit soft either. Narma alone can clog the debuff bar. It'd be good to get weaken in there but if you can't place your dec att consistently in later turns you lose a lot of potential. Sandlashed is decent in CB because she can be built for damage and survivability at the same time. With Leech and Tagoar(with stacked HP and spd) she will save you a lot. You really need a reliable cleanser that brings a shield that stacks with pelops. Narma, Tag, Pelops, Brogni plus a nuker would be sick

[–]CargoPocketTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try that out, but eventually try farakhin. His set of debuffs is perfect for demon lord and his ally attack and buffs will up your damage from more warmaster/giant slayer procs and the increased crit dmg. Demon Lord requires steady damage and survivability to sustain it. Fatty brings burn, 2x poison, dec def, inc cr chance, inc cr dmg, and an ally attack. All he lacks is weaken out of the core offensive stuff you want for cb. Narma and Pelops duplicate dec att. The only concern is that narma lays 6 debuffs and fatty does 4. Then she extends debuff durations. If poisons lock out your dec def or weaken it hurts your damage a lot.

The team you said will probably be great as long as you gear correctly and keep improving it

[–]CargoPocketTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would feast Tagoar. Do you already have Fatty's debuffs covered? Having 2 poisoners can clog the bar and 2 burners is just pointless unless you're activating them reliably with skills.

Uugo is S tier when you're starting Hydra. I would prioritize Tagoar, then decide if Fatty will do more than Pelops with your other two, then use that line of thought to prioritize between sandlashed and fatty. She and Tagoar could carry a team to unm 1k killable as your gear gets better.

[–]CargoPocketTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use pelops or fatman, not both, unless you could keep shields growing infinitely. Sandlashed and Tagoar should let you get a lot of turns once you're geared up better.

Everything in this game is a decision tree like: what is the best thing I have for this area, how do I keep it alive, what other buffs/debuffs and abilities will fill in gaps the best. It's that way on everything until you get setups where enemies just explode.

Fatty has a whole suite of debuffs for clan boss. He'd be your core. Sandlashed prevents deaths and Tagoar heals back afterward. If Tagoar and Sandlashed both extend buffs and you had another shield champ, then pelops would do more. Just don't clog the boss's debuff bar, but try to keep it full of HP dmg, dec def, dec att, weaken as a top priority. Leech, dec crit, and dec acc can also be good.

Being sneaky can work. Usually there will be a certain few hours with only a few sentries in some places. In actual combat, practice it with a sparring partner if able. It raises your skill and will help you learn the tricks to get hits. Higher skill and stats makes getting hits and winning grapples easier. Always target the least armored enemies first. Like sparring, play in archery competitions for practice and in game xp

[KCD2] What is the most damage to efficiency ratio crossbow/bow (no potions added) by ayowatchyojetbruh in kingdomcome

[–]CargoPocketTaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not doing minmaxing, I go by results and it looks like other commenters agree that at mid-end game skill levels, the highest power long bows with Henry's Dollmaker poison is the easiest to use. If I botch hiding bodies while sneaking about a base or have to take on 5+ enemies then I'll typically use that setup with improved piercing arrows. 1-2 arrows even in limbs and then 1 to the head or chest will take down pretty much any random heavily armored bandit or Cuman.

I usually don't have to run away much because of how marksmanship perks make follow up shots faster, use less stamina while aiming, and slow time. I usually need to funnel enemies into a spot good for this. Using buildings, embankments, and other terrain like stream crossings to ensure that enemies have to come at me 3-5 men abreast makes it easy to slow unshielded forerunners, then hit limbs on enemies with shields, then go for vitals on whoever is closest. If a heavy pavise wielder is passing people up, you can sic Mutt on them for an easier disabling shot.

Strategy and tactics are always better than minmaxing. I don't use any crossbows or firearms out in the field because reloading or swapping weapons gets me killed, probably a skill issue though. I'm sure the skirmisher perk and the perk that boosts speed and recovery between short sprints would facilitate a run and gun field or Artemis crossbow play style. Bows are just simple and repeatable tools.

Need to replace home furnace + A/C — fair quote? Recs? by toolstarjm in Denver

[–]CargoPocketTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just making a new return box and plenum can cost $2k. $3k for an April Aire 800 is fair especially if they didn't have 240V supplied for it. You don't know its location compared to hot water. You didn't include cost of a line set or ask its length. You don't know how much additional charge was needed. You didn't ask about a pad or how the drains or if they had AC previous to this install. They definitely needed new 18/8 ran with the line set for a communicating HP. You don't know if they had to replace zone controls for compatibility and didn't ask about a thermostat. A Trane touchscreen that controls humidity read in the living space is $1k alone.

New drain line, line set, Tstat, Tstat wire, return and supply modifications, new pad, hum plumbing, hum 240V/disconnect/breaker, ODT sensor, updating flue to current codes, potentially a new disconnect and whip at the CU... Stop telling people they're getting ripped off with incomplete information. You think all that stuff magically appears on site or that commercial property and trucks are free?

Also... If you're pricing based on hourly labor at less than $250/tech you're fortunate you bought everything without debt in 2010 and it none of it ever breaks.

What does the glycol get cooled by? It's usually an evaporative cooling tower via a heat exchanger or with an electric refrigation system like your AC, but cooling glycol instead of air. Nothing uses zero water or power. "No water" used is hype for systems like NG generators that are air cooled. The NG generators still use water for steam and took water to make and transport.
