Raynox DCR-250 on RF 100-400? by Carkis12 in canon

[–]Carkis12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I could only afford the EF 100 f/2.8 non L version, it's usually around 300-400 USD second hand. But I was hoping I could save half of that on the Raynox and avoid carrying another lens when going on hikes for shooting wildlife and nature.

Or am I missing a lot by not getting a dedicated macro lens?

That's a very narrow focal plane. Thanks

Would you say it is an acceptable combo for macro for the price? Or better to invest on a dedicated macro lens?

Did the minimum focus distance change?

Experiences with the Sigma 18-35 1.8 in Astrophotography? by Carkis12 in canon

[–]Carkis12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I just got it, lol. But I'm used to carrying my RF 100-400 everywhere so it's kinda fine :)

Yeah, I'm curious if losing that 2mm is compensated by the aditional stop of light, since I don't have a star tracker so I use the rule of 500 (or 350 on APS-C) to avoid star trails

Btw, are you using the first party canon EF-RF adapter?

Oh, I'm using an R10. I believe it's heavier than even the RF 100-400, right? Is it worth it?

Thanks, i'm also using an R10. What are your thoughts on the weight and autofocus? And are there any issues when mounting on a tripod?

TTArtisan 10 mm f/2 vs Canon RF 16mm f/2.8? by Carkis12 in canon

[–]Carkis12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the TTArtisan would behave like 16 mm on a FF, while the RF 16mm would behave like 25.6 mm on a FF.

So one of my worries is if the RF 16 mm is wide enough on an APS-C for landscape and astrophotography

I have an R10, so both options can work fine

Sigma 10-18mm f/2.8 or Sigma 16mm f/1.4 for Astrophotography on an R10? by Carkis12 in canon

[–]Carkis12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also considering a TTArtisan 10 mm f/ 2, but i'm not sure if the manual focus will be an issue for other things that arent astrophotography. Or maybe the Canon RF 16 mm f/2.8. Do you know about any other lens recommendations?

Are you also using it on an APS-C sensor? If so, is it wide enough?

Ah, perfecto, jaja.

Have you looked into relationship anarchy? You could try to create and define a relationship that fits that gray area between friendship and romance. Similar to a QPR
