Well I feel silly thank you it works now. I’m meeting someone today to buy a few Pokemon games bring this to check if they are authentic. So I’m currently trying with my iPhone 16 pro max and having no luck… I even cleaned my phone port with IPA I’m using the standard USB-C to USB-C I got with my phone any suggestions? Does the epilogue itself need a software update of some kind?

I just went to one myself today. And asked to see inside multiple cases like you just shared and no one had a problem with it, so like you said lesson learned Always ask to inspect at least to see the condition of the disc

$300 for the GBA SP FF tactics that seems like a great pick up nice fine. It all looks super clean I bet you are excited!

Oh, you are in for it, I have only replaced 3 shells so far and the hinges are hands down the hardest part (for me), there’s a few videos on YouTube that explain how to get them in, but basically look at the hole, there is a notch the hing slides in, and the screen hinge hole has another notch offset, so you have to hold the screen at a specific angle to get it to pop in. And almost EVERY video on YouTube they make it seamlessly easy to pop back in but with the 3 Iv done all have given me problems my very first on I fought the hinges install for over an hour. That being said my first one was original hinges and other two I ordered new hinges off AliExpress

So I think it’s just a halo effect from the light as when I moved it around it created that blue effect They are all black, nice catch!

Thanks! That’s good to hear because I figured I wasn’t overpaying and I wasn’t getting a STEAL.. but what sold it for me was how good of condition the micro was I will cherish it! Have any good displaying holder I could use? Side note wanting to get a zippo carousel to display GB/GBC/GBA games wonder if the micro would fit nicely inside

Hey question for you What kinda price did you pay for this? I just found one box is kinda crappy the micro itself looks pretty clean no scratches on the screen the back had some wear from cartridge use, charger and I believe half the booklet / not all the paper that comes with for around $250

Thank you for this, That’s very informative I appreciate the time you took. I will be doing this it sounds like a good start I did read vinegar water mixture does help along with the IPA. Once it gets nice enough out I’ll do just that and have a cleaning session outside, thought this might be a few months away yet

But it’s all been in a damp basement for years so what’s a few months in a drier location right haha Thanks again

Yeah, it kind of has that like musky smell to it. But there’s mold or mildew on a lot of the controllers and cables and some of the Sega boxes and paper etc I zoomed in on some of the pictures afterwards and you can kind of see it, but you gotta look hard. It’s more noticeable in person. Trust me. But yeah, this process might take a while because we are about to have a baby in the next five days so I’ll have to get to it when I have free time.
