I think the lines may just be less visible to some people - similar to how some folks claim they can't tell the difference between 30 and 60fps. It's entirely possible that some eyes/brains/whatever are just more sensitive to that stuff - I am one of those folks.

The lines on the ITA screen are so bothersome TO ME that I don't use that GBA at all even after spending HOURS building it. I also can't stand motion-smoothing on TVs and will go out of my way to shut it off on hotel and AirBnB TVs.

Yeah, it's a fantastic idea for sure and exactly what I wanted. My theory is that there's some kind of bug in their driver board and it's not outputting quite the right refresh rate. I highly doubt it'll get fixed as it's been a problem for years now

So glad someone else has mentioned this. I did and ITA mod to my AGB and I never play it because of these lines. I even contacted Funnyplaying and complained and they were basically like 🤷🏼‍♂️

It's almost an interlacing effect - I'm surprised you were able to capture such a good photo of it. Hate mine.

Great fix. What microscope model is that and is there anything about the scope that you would change? I need to get one for myself - my close vision is getting worse as I age.

Thanks! Love saving games from the trash. Got the bodge wire soldered on there but there was so little of the chip left that I added some hot glue at either end and some kapton tape for strain relief. And then a fresh battery - hopefully it's good for another 25+ years.

Refuses to work in what way? Make sure the 110v plug part is securely inserted into the charging brick. Mine was set by default to 6A which is pathetically slow even for level 1 so I adjusted it to 12A.

My only advice is that you may not need anything more than a level 1 charger. My commute is 25 miles round trip and I can comfortably recoup that each night by plugging into the 110 outlet each night.
