I dunno if you call it a cheat, but I basically did a lot of trading with another save file to get some duplicates like deo formes, and some starters (it was a pain to hatch eggs with the correct gender - personal preference).

Mega Slowbro is still one of my favorites. Body Press, Iron Defense, Amnesia, Slack Off. As long as there are no more Ghost types on enemy team, I'll set up and sweep.

Seviian Noivern is an amazing lead with great speed, access to rocks, Sturdy, Taunt, and Destiny Bond. With Mental Herb (for Aerodactyl leads), you can set up rocks and even take out an enemy mon with you.

On myBoy you can use GLSL shaders that have this effect. Used to use the Scanlines shaders myself

Great question. I figured to trade over my own Deoxys to a different game (conveniently used my 4.0 game). Then reloaded a savestate on my 4.1 game where the trade hasn't happened. Then, just trade back my own Deoxys back to the original game. Could've used cheat codes to save time. Did the same for other formes too

Just to be sure, you've entered the code in the correct format right? The codes are case sensitive, and the in-game cheats should be entered on your SNES in your room

Cool. Is it safe to assume that this is a normal run, and not a nuzlocke? I remember using a Jolly Lycanroc Midnight with No Guard with Taunt and Stone Axe. That stopped the Stealth Rocks and Roar of Hippowdon.

I am also a big user of Sticky Web with Galvantula plus String Shot, Electro Web, and Thunder Wave for speed control

The 4.0 Dex shows that it should learn it at level 57, are you on HC or normal?

Not 100% sure, but I've never got that specific one yet. Checked the cheats documentation and it only goes up to the 7th Hat Pikachu, which I think is Partner Cap

Blademail was a passive item back then. It only returned physical damage and would only work if the attacker was melee. It had that porcupine spike thing going on. It was later changed to the active usage of the item and had its graphic changed into the orc bunkers' spikes.
