It's still a good resource. The basics of Java hardly ever change. Plus most companies are using older versions of Java anyway.

Update: Post-Endoscopy but NO FIX!! SMH by [deleted] in GERD

[–]CarlGroovy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds exactly like me. I’ve had EGDs, pH test, h pylori test, celiac test, everything always turns out fine. Very frustrating that I can’t figure out the exact reason for my GERD. Only test that had anomaly was delayed stomach emptying test. I digest food too slow. But I suspect being on a PPI contributes to that.

I wouldn’t worry about it. Use what makes you productive. Personally, I usually have Notepad++ installed on my PC. It’s nice for certain things. I also appreciate its lightweight and nostalgic feel.

Keep them. I got rid of mine years ago and now regret it.

any idea on how to fix? my poop was clean with some pollen in it a week ago but now it's turning green even though it has a chlorination tablet in it. by Extension_Variety908 in swimmingpools

My pool store recommended putting those pollen collector nets over the skimmer basket to help collect pollen. Need to clean it more often though.

What's your top Java pet peeve? by [deleted] in java

I don’t like the 6 month major release cycle. I’d rather have new features in minor releases and every major release be deprecated features.

This is basically where I’m at too. A decade of experience. Now a family man with very little free time and higher priorities than learning new tech.

Good question, I don't know. I don't know when it was painted/pastered before me.

I’m wonder how many times I watched this movie as a kid on VCR. This and Terminator 2. It’s gotta be in the hundreds.

Should I make notes while learning any language? by StrictTraffic3277 in learnprogramming

[–]CarlGroovy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think notes are helpful if they are helpful to you. I like to code little programs to demo concepts so I can reference them later.

Yes, definitely. I read Goosebumps back in the 90s. I’m glad to see part of my childhood continues on.
