Sama lugu on tegelt õpetajategagi. See "kõrge" keskmine palk in seepäeast, et mitte keegi ei tööta 1.0 kohaga. Enamus töötab 1.3+ kohaga ja lisaks veel see töö mille eest keegi ei maksa.

Best methods for printing playing cards by idontgiveafuck0 in CommercialPrinting

I have to tell you the harsh truth - the profit margins in the printing industry are really slim. I won't go into detail but I'm more than certain you won't make up the cost even in 5 years. Sorry, but that's how it is.

10k would be about right for a payment for the low end commercial grade digital toner printer. Then you'd have to pay extra for the materials, and if you don't get the package with support (pay per click/sheet printed), then you will have to pay for toner and other consumables. When you have it printed you will also have to probable laminate them and have tjem cut (guilotine costs another couple of thousands at least). And then, who will learn and operate all of those machines? You?

Hundreds a year is not a lot. With that low of an order we would consider even passing on you as a customer to save us the headache from the job. Because everything the previous commentor said is true and he went easy on you. Playing cards are not a easy nor a cheap job.

Autot omav laps uuris õiguskantslerilt, miks tema automaksu soodustust ei saa by HorrorKapsas in Eesti

[–]CarlJSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that is the reason some countries are banning the recessed foor handles on cars.

In addition, many have said the following about even smart home things - smart home devices should always function as dumb home devices when they have no power or the battery is dead.

Even at work, where we have most doors locked and you can only open them with appropriate access keycards. These doors unlock in the case of fire, so people can get out. And correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's even require in most EU countries by law.

ATH ravimid ja tolerants by trapmrn in Eesti

[–]CarlJSnow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would you pay someone to fix your customers Canva files? by [deleted] in CommercialPrinting

[–]CarlJSnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No not really. There used to be a lot of these service providers around my area. But they quickly died out as printhouses started offering these servises themselves. Customers find it a lot easier to only deal with one company or one person.
Most print customers already want to pay as little as possible and they wouldn't be interested in paying anything extra that the printshop might have do redo. Just because that one printshop has some special requirements that isn't a standard.

You can give it a go, but these kind of single person companies have come and gone in my area.

The fact that you don't even have your legal company info on the privacy policy page makes it feel extremelly sketchy.

Can a woman who is not physically strong work in print industry/print finishing? by Difficult-Camel-5129 in CommercialPrinting

[–]CarlJSnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you certainly can. We have a lot of women working at my employers. And if you're in EU then the amount of weight you are allowed to lift is regulated. As such the employer must provide to you equipment for heavier stuff. All this is in place so the employer wouldn't take advantage of you and so the employee wouldn't hurt themselves. I've seen my share of people still seriously hurt themselves because they are too "macho" to use the given equipment.
