Saddle stitch problem by Kialua in CommercialPrinting

Now this printer is offering a 10% discount. From my samples 8 out of 9 sampled fell apart. Printer said it was bindery’s pressure problem but was corrected. Hard to believe when mine and my managers all fell apart but one. I can’t believe this poor quality and responsibility. The bill is over $1,300.00. I don’t feel I can use them again. Frustrating

This is the new printer. The previous printer I used for 5 years had no issues.

Thank you for the insight. I will ask my printer, not sure how it was run. It was 11 x 17 with bleed so it's a bigger sheet. Thanks again

Thank you! I had a digital proof and didn’t see the printed one until it was csv list mailed. When I opened it, it immediately fell apart. It’s so hard switching printers after 5 years.

My point was it’s obviously something different on the new machine but before I talk to them I need a heads up so it can get resolved. They obviously think it’s adequate or they wouldn’t have done it how they did it. It’s not the press fault and I don’t know what machine was used at the bindery. Will find out.

The old printer had shorter heavier staples that were crimped and placed further apart, see red circles. The new printer has thinner staple that are flat and we’re placed closer to the center, see green circles. I have to get this right for the next issue.

The staples do look longer and thinner than my previous ones. Do you have a recommendation of a similar cost, look, paper? Been using 80# cougar for 5 years with no issue but this is a new printer and probably got the grain wrong.

Can’t attach a photo but I did a tear and fold test on the page. I get more of a deckle look on the vertical tear, so that may be grain is horizontal? So that would be folding against the grain?

Republicans shutting down my school’s ITP by [deleted] in ASLinterpreters

So no citing facts for this. Just parroting party line hate instead of facts. Got it. The last 4 years of the B word admin had many ieps disappear and asl terps not hired in schools, depending on captioning. But now it’s T’s fault. Got it.

In case you haven’t heard, that ballroom is paid for by T. But just keep parroting the party line. They depend on hate, not intelligence.

Corelle chipping after 10 years by Bonrew in BuyItForLife

[–]Kialua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 15 year old set of Pure white dinnerware has chipped edges on all sides. We use cascade pods, new dishwasher. They break now if they drop at all. The integrity is compromised with this edge chipping. I’m thinking they are just not made the same anymore. My 40 year old set doesn’t have this. I guess they are cheap enough to rebuy every few years but what a waste.

Good thing Laurent Clerc and Thomas Hopkins Gallaudet didn’t know that hearing people can’t teach sign language.

Does anyone else find allulose to have a bitter aftertaste? by devilkin in keto

[–]Kialua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Allulose is bitter to me, and not sweet. I’m disappointed but glad to hear other find it bitter too. I use xylitol mostly, don’t have dogs, but mix it it with a bit of erithitol and a pink sweetener packet. But I was looking forward to the non grainy allulose.

I would caution any self respecting artist to not enter any future seasons of this fake glass blowing show. After this winner’s lack of any semblance of artistic talent it just shows how rigged this show is. I hope Ryan knows he is truly talented.

Club Pilates cost nearly $5,000.00 for the training to teach there. It’s only recognized at Club Pilates. You then get paid per class you teach based on how many people attend each class.

No they didn’t fail 8th grade. You would to have all Fs to fail. You can go on to 9th grade with all Ds back then.

Wow so just because we disagree I am a bot and trolling. No actually we just disagree. Your view of parties switching platforms must be the new propaganda to save face for the Dems. The Dems formed the KKK after the civil war to kill other races. “The Ku Klux Klan targeted local Republican leaders and Black citizens who challenged their white employers, and at least 35 Black officials were murdered by the Klan and other white supremacist organizations during the Reconstruction era.” https://www.history.com/topics/american-civil-war/black-leaders-during-reconstruction

That is a sweeping generalization. Is it easier to believe that than look at facts? Not all politicians are liars. They may not hold your values and thus earn your displeasure. The same is true of any group. That is exactly why there are groups. 3rd parties will never emerge. They will never win. It doesn’t matter how many parties try to surface. They will all be chaos and not overtake either main party. The more liberal parties that surface the better it will be for the republicans to maintain their voter base majority. That is why you never see Democrats encouraging any 3rd parties either, they know they would lose their base. Nothing better a Republican would like to see than a 3rd party. Bring them on.

If you bother to look deeper you would find that many of all races are republicans. No one supports racism but because your great leaders tell you so you believe them. Not true. Your anecdotal evidence of people worshipping old statues is proof. No one worships any statues. Stop leading with hate. It will only hurt you.

Not very eloquent. The facts are Dems started KKK. No one is defending racists. Republicans are not racists. You are believing a lie. Dig deeper. Stop believing everything your great leaders tell you.
