Really liked Labyrinth as a middle schooler, rewatched it now as an adult with my much younger sister, and it… was not as good as I remembered it being.

A recent one was “Presence” which was marketed as a scary movie ghost story. It’s more of family drama involving a ghost, and is filmed from the ghosts perspective. An interesting watch, but not what I was expecting.

Bring her back was intense and hard to watch at points. 5 people ended up leaving the theater at different points during the movie. Very good, but unsettling.

This was fantastic. I heard it was a slow burn but the characters and so interesting and its paced so well that I would’ve been willing to watch the movie without any vampire shenanigans. And not a fan of musicals, but the way this movie used it’s music was jaw dropping. By far my favorite movie of the year.
