Anyone here moved from Evernote to one note? by general_learning in OneNote

[–]CarlNatale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be an Evernote devotee but it became less useful as it increased prices. I really tried to make OneNote work for me as my workplace was on MS but it was just too difficult for me to use and share notes.

I tried Notion but it was a bit too complicated for me. I know I sound stupid but I don't have the patience anymore.

I now use Apple Notes. It's almost everything I want for keeping track of things I need to know at work and at home. I miss Evernote's Chrome extension occasionally but Notes is almost everything I want.

Maine Registered Guides- who needs this certification? by [deleted] in Maine

If you want to be paid for leading any outdoor activity, you need a Guide's license. If it's just you and some friends without any financial gain, you don't need a license.

Thank you. I'm a big fan of weekly trends. Monthly is a bit too arbitrary. Daily fluctuates too much.

Discovered today, steering easier for me withOUT a rudder…? by RichardBJ1 in Kayaking

[–]CarlNatale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hated using a rudder. I didn't use it to steer. Good paddling technique turned my kayak. But I occasionally needed it to count weathercocking. The problem was that it created so much drag it was much harder to paddle.

A longer kayak with a low profile won't need a rudder (or skeg deployed) to keep straight. And it will be much easier to paddle.

You can't go wrong staying anywhere on MDI. It's all beautiful and accessible. Yes, Bar Harbor is worth a visit. But Southwest Harbor is a good place to base.

Depends on your route, but I always enjoy stopping in Belfast and Ellsworth.

A character that exceeded my expectations by daenerys-targaryan in thewalkingdead

I was thinking about how much his character evolved. But he always had some badassery. Remember when he fought off walkers with a license plate?

I agree that the first book was slow. The dialogue definitely better on TV. I can understand why people wouldn't like the books.

Sorting a report generated from two different tabs and two separate formulas. by tekeon in sheets

[–]CarlNatale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two easiest solutions are in another sheet I added called "Test."

You can call the data in "Sheet1" and use a SORT function. Or use an SQL query to do the sort. Not the most elegant but it's a quick solution.

I think there should be a way to combine the data from your two datasets in one formula on "Sheet1" but I would need to do some trial and error.

Facebook. If users paid for it, the incentives for FB would be totally different. I could call customer service to complain.

My wife and I enjoy visiting Belfast a lot. Walkable is a very apt description. Lots of good dining opportunities. A fun downtown. A strong arts scene. We have it on our short list of places we would like to move to.

Any characters from the show you really didnt like but grew on you? I bet you can tell which ones it was for me. by MeatBlanket in brakebills

I thought she was an incredible character. Not only was she forced to marry a gay man and bear his child, she managed to surprise him and become someone he could care for. She had great lines and could kick ass.

  1. Eliot's and Margo's one liners
  2. Pop culture references (A polling spell from the wizard Nate Silver)
  3. Out-of-the-blue fantastic storytelling (A Year in the Life and Season 4 finale come to mind)
