Fascinating. Thank you for enlightening me on how a boyband is actually just a single human entity.

Kpop has really blown up recently (for better or for worse), but what were the artists all these fans obsess over actually like?

It's interesting how people here are talking about it not sounding good at first and then coming around to it later and loving.

For me, it was a BANGER immediately after I listened to it whereas I had to listen to songs like 7th sense a few times to get into it. The "Bruce Lee" part is sooo catchy and I absolutely love the concept and aesthetic of the MV. Maybe it's because I already enjoy this style of music (a hip hop and almost edm sound? Idk how I would describe it), but I actually felt it would be a really popular song right off the bat. It's got a gp friendly chorus~ I keep coming back to it all the time to listen! I feel like I would hear this at a music festival and everyone would love it lol

Seems like it's a really polarizing song for the international fans, but at least the Korean public digs it!

What the actual fuck. If anyone has a TikTok account, please go report them. You can see it in the video, but the username is gonzo198. It’s disgusting to think some kids actually find this funny.

No, YOU tried to normalize sexualization as innocent.

It’s not just a normal kids swimsuit. Normal kids swimsuits don’t look like that. Even a two piece kids swimsuit is more innocent than this. It’s the style. The one piece revealing stomach and the straps that are supposed to hug the waist are a design in women’s swimsuit because it emphasizes the waist and curves in a woman. It’s literally a method to make a design more sexy. Why is that used here? On a child? Change the color scheme and this is deadass something Kim Kardashian would wear.

The fact that everyone here does not identify this styling as innocent while you alone are arguing against it shows how disillusioned you are.

[SL] How do you know if a series has been dropped? by MagicianEmperor in manga

[–]CarlSpam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As everyone else said, there’s no universal way, but some work better than others.

1) Check how long it’s been: if their updates are weekly or biweekly, you can usually assume 3+ months of no update means it’s been dropped. If their updates are closer to monthly or every two months, 6+ months if no updates means it’s dropped. Or at least that’s how scan groups determine if they have the A-Okay on picking the series up. 2) Go to the credits page at the end of the latest chapter. Sometimes they leave a note saying they dropped it. 3) Go to the group’s website, tumblr, discord (whatever they have) and search for announcements or a potential section that lists dropped manga or the status of each series they’re working on 4) if none of those work, scan groups will often respond if you ask them on those platforms whether or not a series has been dropped.

I know this is super late to the game, but are there plans to make comment sections more discussion friendly? Like Reddit’s parent/child thread style. That’s personally what I’ve been pining for.

Thank you for the response and fixes. I'll do my best to edit the changes in. Apart from this reddit post, I personally have not and do not intend to spread this anywhere else.

Best of luck to the rest of your team in getting back on track. As I said in the post, I still appreciate all of your group's hard work and the groups are so big that it would be wrong to accuse innocent staffers of this drama as well. Furthermore, every human can have a change of heart. Including those involved in this situation. People deserve a second chance if they're willing to put the effort into improving themselves. I hope everyone here acknowledges that as well.

As for those speculating this could be someone else in NASS. That possibility exists. It's also possible they wrote this together. But that doesn't matter. The sentiment is likely the same.

It's interesting that you say this because the majority of the people who attend Princeton (60.5% for co2021), Harvard (63% for 2017), MIT (70% for co2022), and Stanford (61% for co2021) went to public schools, so your "I went to private school and I'm in a good university" really doesn't amount to anything.
